  1. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe either go by someone's word on their word average , or set a few times when someone could come out prior. A skiers averaga would have to go up or down thru out the season so that would have to be calculated. I came up with a formula , but if anyone else has one please send it to me. I realize 20 rounds before sunset is a stretch. Maybe set a limit on how far longer or slower than your average you can start. Maybe only one speed or line length under . For example if your average is 4@35 then you would have to go of the dock @ 32. Ideas ?
  2. This is kind of what I have in mind.Any feedback is appreciated. Wednesday Night 530-Dusk, Take up to 10 skiers. $20 entry, $10 goes to gas , bbq and lake maintence, $10 goes in the pot. Top three skiers take the winiings in a 50%, 30%, 20% break down. First time out skier will take two sets, that will set their average. Each night a skier will ski two rounds tournament style, with 1 mulligan. Top 3 skiers who round the most bouys over average takes the pot. BBQ at the end I will keep a spread sheet on a website with all the scores.
  3. We had our ski lake meeting Friday night and one if the things discussed was how to improve tournament attendance and slalom ski awareness. Few ideas brought up were adding a grass roots division , holding a F tournament Friday before and a hosting some sort of ski league. Some members brought up that they know lots of skiers that have no interest in tournaments for one reason or another. A no pressure setting would be more ideal to get then introduced to the scene. Apparently I was nominated to get this going. I was thinking some sort of fun competition deal once a week like a Wednesday. Any ideas on how to set this up and a format?
  4. I always thought the 190 and 197 were the same hull, different top deck just like the Nautique. @kelvin, I am referring to the OB version
  5. I was thumbing threw my issue of the waterskier and noticed that 200ob was not tested. I know it's the same as the 200, however MC had the 190 and 197 tested and approved.
  6. I did call him and he is sendng some more pics. I wish I knew about it last week. I was in Vegas.
  7. Well I was hoping to buy a promo boat with ZO but decided against a boat loan. So that leaves the next best thing a 1997-2000 CC.
  8. 1500 hours maybe not be alot, but I sold a real clean low hour1993 Califnornia Skier that skied great. I sold it it to upgrade , not go lateral or downgrade . I want a clean, lower ( 1000 or so ) hour 98-99 Nautique for about 12-13K. Prefer no tower and within a days driving distance from Sacramento CA.
  9. @h20ski1326, I thought about it , but it also has 1500+ hours. I want to upgrade , not stay equal or downgrade.
  10. @6balls, thats a nice find. If the price is right It may be a good deal. Problem is that it needs about $3000 . Needs PPSG, tower holes repaired and bimini top.
  11. Its been close to two months since I sold my boat and I can't find anything to replace it with ! There is not much out there right now for what I am looking for. There are only 3 1998/99 Nautiques I can find for sale right now that are relatively close. But each one has its drawbacks. 1) 1500+ hours,2) has tower , no PP , no bimini , wont come down on price, 3) Does not have a trailer, cant find a used one and a new one cost $4200. I am not willing to pay an inflated price or shipping that will put the boat over value.
  12. I suggest checking planetnautique.com
  13. Anyone have any pics of a 1998 -99 that is black top stripe , green main , and white bottom. ? There is one for sale but no pics available for a week or two
  14. I see. I only looked at it as a benifit for salt water use. For my use the boat is in the water or on trailer and stored indoors a lot.
  15. What's the deal on the Galvnized trailers in Texas. ? I almost bought a similar boat. When the owner emailed me more pics I saw that the trailer it sat was Galvanized. Pretty much killed the deal for me. Might be a good trailer but its ugly!
  16. I believe the owner of the lakes I was a member of purchased the land next to the lakes in hopes of imminent domain. I guess there was a proposed freeway bypass to go right thru the property. The economy tanked and the project has not moved forward. Outcome was bad. It's now a cable park.
  17. Here is a pic of an MC Xtar with one. This guy got pretty flamed for it as I am sure you will too here on BOS. I don't know why people get so worked up about what people do and how they use their boat. Its your boat, your money enjoy it how you want to. I'm probably in the minority here, but boats are too expensive and cool to just use them as a private ski lake slalom tug. Get out on the public lake or river. Open her up, let her run for awhile! Cruising the river and stopping at cool restuarants is fun! Camping or houseboating for a week with the kids and friends, so many cool things to do with a boat other than getting dragged up and down the ski lake every weekend. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/300752_10150748225520106_449679_n_zps3c82be55.jpg
  18. All there is to do is ski and play golf. ? That's rough. Lol
  19. Still no pictures? I'll start. She doesn't drive or ski but at least looks better than me in a swimsuit. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/Delta_zps2dc4257a.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/Delta2_zps432959da.jpg
  20. How did the Toyota perform. I've read their wakeboard boats consumed a lot less
  21. Horton should buy this place and make it Ball of Spray headquarters! http://schnitzskis.com/swissskischool.html
  22. The tax alone buys you a decent boat. Hard to believe people justify that much dough. Buy a used one for a 1/4 the cost. Don't tell me you won't enjoy it just as much. Can you imagine if you financed that boat for 20 years. ! Ouch.
  23. Does this thread have so many views becuase you thought there are pictures to be seen?
