@JayG80 Could be. The few recent homes for sale here in Princeton Lakes were under contract before they were even listed, and some sold for higher than asking price. Crazy market right now. Prices up ~20% from a year or so ago. Still, $156/sf is not bad.

2nd set on the 66.5 Flextail Felt much more familiar and comfortable today. Almost back to average performance. Hoping for more bouys tomorrow.

Wade gave about 11 of us lessons last Friday here at Princeton Lakes. Great coach and really nice guy. Explained things differently than I had heard before. Helped me quickly fix some fundamental flaws with my technique. The changes seem to have stuck, according to my neighbor / driver.

First Impressions of the Goode Flextail 66.5" I am transitioning from a 9900 mid-ride 65.25" that I have always liked, or at least ever since I installed black interloc that would actually adhere to the ski. The FT is a completely different ride. If you consciously try to turn with hips or by pushing the tail around (bad), it will screw you. Took me 8 passes to successfully run my normal opening line length, which is how long it took me to quit turning the ski the way I normally do. This ski turns sharply with no skier input. I think it will help me in my quest to break bad habits and improve my technique (don't really have a choice if I want to use this ski). I was running the 9900 with Powershells a full 1/2" forward of factory default. The new ski seems to break water at the front of the front binding, so will wait a few more sets before starting to tinker with adjustments. No tape adhesion issues with the first set, but Goode is still using the clear 250 tape, so expecting problems soon in our 90-95deg water. At which point I plan to try black 250 instead of the 400 I have been using (the 400 never releases, which has worked out well over the past 4 years). By the way, I bought this ski 'for my wife' of 37 years, who has enjoyed ~45 years of waterskiing with no major injuries. Several of our ski buddies told us she needs her own ski (we always shared a ski because we are close enough to the same height/weight/shoe size). So we had a demo day with a pro skier and bought her the recommended ski and bindings. A month later she had a freakish 3 ball and ends up with 20x8mm fractures of the large bones above and below her front knee due to a wrenching partial release, along with a partially torn ACL. 6 weeks in a wheelchair. My motto is "if you break bones, never use that ski again" (which is how I wound up buying the 9900). Thus we have a new Flextail, and an almost new ski of a different brand for sale if anyone wants it. How could I in good conscience sell that ski to anyone? Bad boot design with high risk of serious injury. Guess I need to see if the manufacturer or dealer wants to buy it back for research purposes before I start whining about the brand and model.

Flextail arrived today. Ordered it 3 or 4 weeks ago. @Cayman2, I think it looks great - very cool. To each his own.

My wife and I both use a 65.25 Goode 9900 Midride 34mph LFF with double powershells. Our height and weight are both within the recommended range for that ski. It works great for me at 34mph, but it's holding her back from progressing past 30mph (she runs the course with both gates). Coaching feedback is that she does not have enough ski in the water - breaking in the middle of the back foot. We moved the boots forward a half inch at the beginning of last season and that helped her a little. She focused on form and putting more weight on her front foot all last season, but it's not enough. Guess I could move the current boots forward some more (good excuse to buy myself a new ski). Or I need to get her a different ski that will work better for her, but not sure what to buy. Also we can't transfer our boots to the blank demo skis our neighbors have offered us because the powershells are attached with interlock. Looking for suggestions on the right ski and length that would help her get to 32mph (W5) and shorten the rope. She agreed for me to post her weight.... 5'8' 155lbs. Appreciate any suggestions.

Sorry to hear about your cable break. Agree that 1/4" cable is not strong enough. I had galvanized 5/8 7x7 strand cable that frayed due to an incorrect snatch block pulley size (3" for 5/16 cable). Before it broke I installed 5/8" 7x19 strand stainless steel and a 6" diameter snatch block. Probably a bit over-engineered, but that should keep my SN200CB safe for a few years.

My 2006 SN196LE was 4-5 deg F off, but was fairly consistent. Dealer told me there was no way to calibrate it. My 2013 SN200CB Team seems to be within 1 degree. No obvious way to calibrate it, but I haven't asked the dealer.

We lowered Princeton Lakes for some shoreline maintenance over the winter, but water level is never an issue here. When it gets low we turn on the well pump.
