  1. There is also a slalom course in Saint Zotique Quebec about 30 miles away from Cornwall. Beautiful site, It is fairly private but I am sure you would be able to ski there if you contacted them.
  2. Lacrosse, hockey, snowmobiling and going to the gym
  3. Hey guys thanks for the best wishes and prayers. Jeff did get released today however Yves and myself are still in the hospital. Looks like I will flown home on Friday and they are unsure yet as of when Yves will be released. We are both doing very well considering the crash we had. Good part is someone stepped up and are working as the water crew at the Masters. Thanks Geordie aka Cobber
  4. https://www.facebook.com/SkiDoo/posts/1734308333272011 A lot of the northeast and far west are thinking this just may be their summer!!
  5. Hey guys thanks for all the information. Special thanks to @"Mateo Vargas" for all the information he provided. Thanks to @Horton and @ColeGiacopuzzi for the invite to ski in Bakersfield, if this trip comes together I definitely will be stopping by the to see the BallofSpray headquarters. Any other info guys care to share would be great. I do plan starting in the Sacramento area at skiliguidzone and ski many more in that area. I plan on seeing Yosemite as @Jmoski suggested and plan to go to Alcatraz and San Francisco, Ski the Pond in San Jose, Lake Tahoe, travel down Hwy 1 ski at Lake Nacimiento tour Hurst Castle drop into Bakersfield and then tour the LA area. Obviously not in that order but those are a few things I would like to do on this trip. Any more suggestions would be great!!! Or if you think I am biting off too much I am all ears. Cobber
  6. Hi Ballers and Specifically Californians. I am trying to plan a two week vacation to California in July or August. I have a School teacher travelling with me that can only vacation those two months and likes skiing but will want to do a lot of other things beside skiing. From what I have been told Sacramento and San Francisco is the best area to ski so my plan was to fly into there. I would love to ski two sets a day pretty much every day and then site see in the afternoon travelling from one lake to another. Or depending on recommendations spend multiple days at a lake and then travel to another. I would love to make my way down the coast continuing to ski all the way to the LA area if that is possible. Definitely want to ski with Terry Winter and a few others in that area. Many people have suggested Sunset Ranch and although I do plan on making a stop there I would like to travel around more to see California as I have heard it is beautiful and the person I am travelling with has given me grief about all my vacations only being about waterskiing. She wants to do the tourist thing. Any help with suggestions on places to ski and sites to make sure we see while out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cobber
  7. @MuskokaKy I have a basically brand new 42 inch D3 XT that is for sale. PM me if you are interested.
  8. @JAG I have skied there before a couple years ago. Mario and Robert are great. It is a great site and you get great coaching, rates are very reasonable. The all inclusive resorts in the area are ok but not 5 stars by any means. Mario's apartment looked good but we did not stay there. We stayed in the town of Juan Dolio as we heard the beach in Boca Chica was crowded with locals and wasn't the nicest beach for the ladies to be at. Hope this helps Cobber
  9. @rodltg2 Costa Rica is kid Friendly, he has had lots of kids there and another member from our ski club takes his entire family to Water Ski Costa Rica. It will be fun for all ages and he does offer non-skier price packages
  10. Just got back form an amazing week of skiing in Costa Rica. Jim and Susan are amazing hosts. Jim is an outstanding skier and coach. We skied on the newer of the two lakes and it skis great, it is well protected and was virtually glass all week. His 2013 Malibu has a great wake. The food in Costa Rica is outstanding especially the lunches at the lake prepared by Yolanda. The Tilajari Hotel is clean, quite with lots of things to do. beautiful pool, hot tub, tennis courts, butterfly conservatory and a very good restaurant. The after skiing activities are top notch as well. The hot springs are great, zip lining is second to none, the waterfall is like something out of a movie, Riverboat cruise is very relaxing and a great way to see nature. Susan took us on a very nice horse back riding excursion around their property. There is just so many amazing things to see and do, whether you are talking about the great skiing and coaching or the after skiing activities, the great weather, the hospitality or how beautiful Costa Rica is. I would recommend this ski trip to anyone and I think Jim's website does not do this place any justice, it is way better in person. If you get the chance don't hesitate to book a trip to Waterski Costa Rica Geordie
  11. @DaveD, no icebergs yet!!!! Water is still 60F, we have had a very nice summer and the lake is shallow and warms up nicely with the hot sun beating on it.
  12. Puslinch Lake October 10th, Canadian Thanksgiving, not a cloud in the ski, no boats on the public lake and only myself and another driver/skier there too ski
  13. Hey guys I am looking at buying a Camaro Blacktec Pro 1mm rash guard, Is this a good rash guard or is the 1.5mm that much better, and approximately how much should it cost? Thanks
  14. @wtrskior, and @jordan, Jeff McClintock, Paul Roberts, Yves Beauchamp, Terry and Stephen Collins (that runs the Ontario Tournaments) were the gentlemen involved in setting the ski courses at the PanAm site. Paul was the one that wanted that site, Jeff and Yves built the course and the jump and were the lead in the install team. Yves, Terry, Jason and Whitney have all skied the site and said it ski remarkably well as of all the work they have done to the walls. They said it should make for an excellent event. Great spot for spectators as well.

  18. @cragginshred pm me and I can give you some options.
  19. @RAWSki although I totally agree with @Wish and have had the pleasure to ski with him. There is a pretty good slalom course in a hidden little bay on Lake Lanier that I can put you in touch with some contacts if you want to PM me.
  20. congratulations on your 2 milestones, very exciting. In my opinion, I would go back to 15 off go to a good ski school and get some lessons. If you can get some good coaching at a comfortable line length and get yourself in a good position for the slalom course now rather then later it will make progression that much faster and easier. At longer line lengths it will give you more time to work on things. I would also try to get your Twins to a boat that has a boom and get them to learn off of that, then move them to long line. It seems when kids are close to the parents riding in the boat they are way more comfortable and it is easy to give them instructions. Just my 2 cents, keep skiing and enjoy.
  21. Skied my first set last night as well here in Southern Ontario, very late start for us as well. Many of the same feelings you had were experienced by myself as well, but it was great to finally get started!
  22. Love the reflection in this picture, glass calm water.
  23. I entered but didn't get anything back like above just a blank screen, not sure if it worked?
  24. @dtm8119 as much as that would suck , it would be totally awesome, great pics!! I am jealous!
