  1. I agree 100%.....oh, wait - I'm in the same boat as jpwhit. We ski behind a 2009 196 and have a 2013 Malibu 23 LSV for surfing, foiling, and as a party boat. I think it's the perfect combination, and can't imaging compromising on one boat.
  2. My wife and I subscribed since the early 90's, but like most respondents, there's no content anymore. I think Todd has taken the magazine to a new level, but it's a very low level. Most articles are barely 1/2 page in length, the rest photo's. Boat test are a complete joke - basically an advertising campaign for the manufacturers, and there's really little slalom coverage anyway. I think they lost their identity, and constantly live in fear of pissing off advertisers, so the editors are too kind and gentle. Miss the rig of the month too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Either Krylon or Rustoleum sells spray paint for plastic. The yellow works really well, as does the forest green for timing bouys. The yellow doesn't cover dark brown water lines with one coat, so you shouldn't wait until the bouys get too discolored, but it seems to hold up very well. John
  4. Your house is worth whetever someone will pay for it.... In today's depressed real estate market, it seems that no matter how nice a house is, the location, etc. it's the Buyer's that are 100% in control today and they have A LOT of choices. Appraisals are good, but in the end, it's about finding a buyer.
  5. Thank you all for your responses to my ZO Help question last week. Despite trying every setting, my wife has declared war on ZO (perhaps fueled in part by the discussion on the Other board....) Anyway, I am now contemplating installing PP in addition to ZO in my boat (09 CC 196). If anyone has done this, can you tell me if there is anything complicated about it? I would hope that I could have both systems installed and be able to alternate depending on skier preference. THANKS IS ADVANCE!
  6. My wife is very light on the handle, and only skis at 34. I have the stock prop on the boat as well..... Finally, I owned the same boat (2007) with PP that she skied her PB behind. I know it's probably 95% mental, but I want to do everything I can to help her figure this out. Thanks for the feedback so far!
  7. Can anyone help me (help my wife) figure out the best setting for a former PP owner?  My wife can not ski behind our 09 SN196 w/ZO AT ALL, yet she can consitently run 28' off on friends CC, Malibu with either PP or Accuski. Based on other threads, I've tried A1, A2, C1 and C2 wth NO success. No one else seems to be having issues, but I will do anything to stop the complaining. HELP!
  8. Anyone interested in one last FUN Tourny, here's your chance. On Saturday, 10/10 starting at 11:00 AM, the Ossipee Lake Waterski Club is hosting a 'fun' tournament which will be held at Purity Spring Resort in East Madison, NH.  We are limiting the entries to 25; the cost is $10.00. This will be a handicapped tournament, and the winner will recieve 1/2 of the entry fees. You will be given 6 passes regardless of falls, and your best pass is what you will be scored on.  We are pulling this tournament with a 2009 SN 196 with Zero Off.  The water is cool and fast.  In the event of rain, the event will be cancelled.  FMI - contact john Krebs at 603-396-2868 or via email at jdkrebs67@yahoo.com If you want to attend, I need your 2009 PR for handicapping purposes and a commitment to ski. THANKS!
  9. Try UShip.com It's like EBay. You enter the location of the boat and the destination and you get a TON of different shippers respond to your request at prices that range all over the place. Further, each shipping company has rating and you can read testimonials from past customers. I have used them several times for new boats and cars and would recommend that you at least try them.
  10. if you sent me an email jdkrebs67@yahoo.com or call me (I'll send you my #'s) I can help you. We have several courses in NH, and I think?>:) I know how to wrangle a permit from the STATE.
