  6. Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic....
  7. I guess the graphic on the back would distinguish it from Kneeboard Nationals.....
  8. Nice try, John. I can't say I'm surprised. This is exactly why I'm doing my own event with my own rules outside of USAWS/AWSA jurisdiction.
  9. Remember, @Horton , strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
  10. I believe this has merit - the point is to bring more skiers into the competitive arena (AWSA or not). If we "clear" our minds of the over-regulated competitive environment we currently find ourselves in, we can begin to envision an internet based universe of scores that aren't restricted to a tournament environment but are simply achieved similar to how a golf handicap is achieved; by performance. This would be separate and apart from the AWSA rankings list which is NOT attractive to the majority of skiers (Horton can provide the number of visitors to this site vs. the number of skier who ski tournaments). If the goal is to attract more skiers into a competitive arena, we have to go to where THEY are - not expect them to come to us. I love the exchange of ideas on this topic...figuring out a way to make this happen is a worthwhile endeavor, IMO.
