  1. This may be all your going to find down there... https://ridethelagoon.com/keys-cable-park
  2. Live results are being postedhttps://www.iwwfed-ea.org/competition.php?cc=T-22IWWF10&page=live Not sure but may be the live stream of the finals.
  3. @C5Quest I have the plate but it is in NY and I am in FL. Changing over next week.
  4. To be clear, Not complaining just pointing it out. The new boots are fantastic. If someone has switched to them and can't seem to get the ski working right they may want to look into this.
  5. For their skies probably. If your on something else and you are transitioning to their boots you need to check it. For my case I couldn't get my foot on the ski in the same place without modifying the plate.
  6. After a week of tuning this is what I found. Moving from T-Factors to new Vapor, Part 1: with one foot in each boot and your feet positioned at the same distance from a wall the measuring point difference (back of rubber vs back of hard shell) is 3/8" with the Radar being further forward. Part 2: The radar boot when positioned as far forward as allowed with factory mounting features allow, your foot position ends up 1/8" back of T-Factor when TF is mounted in the neutral position (center hole). To compensate for this, shift the mounting features for the hard shell forward about 1/2" on the plate. (easy if you have 2 plates, just screw them together using the center mounting holes and spot new holes) So if your making a switch while you can measure off the heal of the shell you still need to compensate for where your foot really is on the ski.
  7. @JeffSurdej is there an official amendment to the rules for getting credit for being available to drive? The 2012 drivers manual says SOL if you didn't get in the seat unless you were the Chief.
  8. @JeffSurdej Just sent a note to the CD for a couple events I was at in FL. We will see how that avenue works.
  9. @JeffSurdej I initially looked into the hardship... Excusable conditions: • Medical problems ‐ major injury or illness, surgery, pregnancy • Military duty • Temporary job assignments lasting two months or more over which you have no control Inexcusable conditions: • Non‐awareness of renewal requirements • Personal error in record keeping • Lack of tournament attendance due to other personal activities • Absence due to school • Failure to attend a drivers' clinic Unfortunately my excuse falls in the Inexcusable conditions... multiple family weddings 2 summers in a row and your own site to manage and prepare for events don't quality as excuses for not participating enough. At this point it is too much effort for me to bother with. We may come up short on rated drivers this summer for hosting an ELR event. I certainly won't put a hack driver in the seat for a record just because the have a rating. Not fair to the skier that is paying the extra for that level of event.
  10. @MattP I offered to drive but apparently some events don't give you credit just for being available. In region if I am at an event I can get credit for being available. I heard that offering to assist if needed this is now a standard practice although it may not be widely known.
  11. This will help grow the sport... AWSA Regular Driver Rating Downgraded Effective 1/1/2020 I have been an awsa/usaws member since 1985, I have records of driving since 2003. (around 127 events) I have been chief driver about 1/3 of those events I have also organized and participated as an instructor in drivers clinics. After going through the long process of obtaining a senior driver rating the reward for not being able to participate as a driver enough over the past 3 years is to be down graded. First back to regular now to assistant. (The only missing requirement this last year was 6 events as a driver. I only had 5 and that is because out of region I wasn't "in the club" and didn't get credit) The Ski club that I host at my ski site has always required participants to be USAWS members. The goal was to get them lots of quality water time and maybe they would show up at an event since they were already a member. Only about 1/5th of the skiers ended up interested in tournaments. Needless to say the experiment is over and the membership requirement will no longer be needed at out site.
  12. @Bandolex I have some footage of a gimbal on a ski doc using an action camera if you want to see it. phase 1 of a project I have been playing with.
  13. Just an FYI. If your at a total loss as to where to start your setup, measure your current fin length and depth. Set the new fin to that L&D with a DFT of 1.0 swing 7. We have had good results with this method 2 out of 2 skiers so far. both med and small sizes. (This of course assumes that your current ski is set up well)
  14. So I have been waiting patiently to get on one of these. Unfortunately the recommended size for me is a small. A local skier received his med yesterday. I wag'd the setup for him with the provided instructions and threw him in the lake. This guy has been struggling with 32s this year and out of the box I pulled him through 35 on his second attempt! I don't think he has ever run 35 at my site. Not only did he pick up a pass but he was able to recover from some big mistakes and still get through a pass. Pretty excited to get on one of these things!
  15. @Hockdog what was your pre-order number? Trying to get a feel where the boys are on the delivery list.
  16. Wondering that also, have my balance ready to go.
  17. Built one of these 2 years ago. Pretty simple project.
  18. @oldjeep I did it the wrong way last year with the throw weed razor. My pond guy suggested this thing. I re-stocked carp last summer and hope that they do their job again. There are a few companies making this type of cutter.
  19. http://weedersdigest.com/boat-mounted-lake-weed-cutter-for-lake-or-pond/ It will take some time and the cleanup is a lot of work. You have to get any cut weeds out of the lake!
  20. good eye @lpskier, Jim Actually had Pelagic Gear as a sponsor for our Wednesday waterski league.
  21. @jrs this should be fun if we can pull it off. We should do a trial run this fall to hammer out legistics. (before our water freezes over)
  22. Glad to have you out Chris and thanks again for helping. I hope your trip back was uneventful.
  23. @lpskier, we only ran the bubble buoys at regionals so you need to find something else to complain about. See Ya next week.
  24. This link should show how to check you fin and how repeatable it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aojzRj7yfvo This one shows how to dial into an old setting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyFZLc2wPiY
