  1. Message me and I can give you the contact info for Randy at Laku
  2. A few weeks ago we had an issue with the webcast. The original person planned to run the webcast had an injury and had step down. We had Jeff Rush, George Canepa and a few others step up and take over the coordination and production. They did an amazing job and the result was excellent. Thanks to all on the webcast!
  3. Jimski, There is a brand new Starbucks 5 mins away. You can grab something at my house onsite if you need anything.
  4. JaySki, I agree with you. I think on the EVO-S I have seen the biggest impact with binding placement. I did move the fin forward but once the binding position was right it made a bigger impact.
  5. I have skied on the ARC-S for 2 years. It was probably one of my favorite skis I have ridden over the past 10 years. Actually had a backup just in case I needed it. I just got a new EVO-S and switched 3 weeks ago. I went back and forth a few sets to compare and decided to stay on the EVO-S. I used almost the same settings between the ARC-s and EVO-s. The transition was very easy. The biggest difference I saw was the EVO-s finishes the onside turn with great angle very easily and I was consistently coming into the offside much earlier. The ARC-s was very forgiving, generated good angle with tail slide and was very consistent. The EVO-S has been very forgiving, consistent but builds angle a bit easier and at 35 off seems to be skiing an earlier line. It seems more sensitive to ski setup and I am still trying different binding settings but good results so far. I am on the 67" and have reflex front and rubber back.
  6. We had 6 Carbon Pro's and our 2016 6.0L was an awesome driving and skiing boat. Hated to see the promo program cancelled and the boat not continued. It was an excellent option and hit a very relevant segment of the market.
  7. Air temp 65 water temp 58 here at Bell Acqua in Sacramento today. Not bad in a Camaro full suit
  8. Camaro Blacktec full suit ..... I have skied in that thru the winter each of the past two years and it is both comfortable and easy to ski in. I have skied in it comfortably into 48-50 degree water.
  9. Robbys is still around. She and Doug are away for awhile. PM me and I can give you her contact info
  10. Will do tomorrow with some pictures
  11. One of our members designed a really effective floating cart. I can describe and also can post a picture soon. We built a raft that was plywood covering some old foam we had from our jump ramp. The raft was approx 4 ft wide by 6 ft long. The top deck of the cart was plywood and around the exterior of the cart was 2x4 on the deck which created a border. Then vertical on one side of the raft we built a tower approx 6 ft tall. The tower was built simply with 2x4 and then horizontally the tower was connected to the opposite side with long 2x4 (envision it created a rectangle on top of the cart). This allowed us to stack rip rap on the deck of the raft. We then were able to float the raft and pull it to the islands from the shore. Once at the island we then had a rope attached to the top of the tower and were able to pull it towards us which in essence tipped the raft over and dumped the rip rap in 6 ft wide sections perfectly where we wanted it. We would then pull the raft back to shore and do all over again. We only lost one load of rip rap in the lake from overloading it. This allowed us to work very efficiently and more precisely with how much and where we dumped the rip rap .....
  12. At Bell Acqua Lake 2, we spent much time determining what we should / could do. We had various opinions and ideas and wanted to line the turn areas and east side of the lake with rip rap and sand the west side of the lake. We ultimately decided to rip rap the entire lake and build 3 walkout areas on the west side. We purchased fabric, lined the shoreline and then place the rip rap on top of the fabric. With then did the same to the turn islands. One of our members came up with a great idea on how to transport and drop the rock perfectly in place on the islands and it worked easily. We did this 7 years ago and the lake skis fantastic and has not degraded during that time. The downside is that for tournaments you need to swim to one of the walkout areas to comfortably exit the water. We also then spent considerable time improving the common area with grass, irrigation landscaping and structured water quality treatments. The rock we used was not round river Rock because our experience was that it did not stay in place and required regular maintenance. I can send pictures and specifics on the size rip rap we used, the amount and the rough cost if interested. Our results have been great.
  13. I have had a lift with a Shore Commander control unit for 8 years. The controller and touch pad went out last fall. I sent it back to lift tech marine and they replaced the controller, gave me 2 brand new remotes and serviced the motor all for $250. Works great again.
  14. We live in Truckee (about 20 miles from Incline) but also have a home at Bell Acqua. Our boys are in school in Truckee but would bring you to Bell Acqua as a guest of ours to ski if you have time. Let me know and I can get you connected with either me or the boys to ski.
  15. I will take them Please email me contact info Thanks
  16. After watching these guys in person the past few years at numerous events, I think that on a regular basis Freddie Winter is the closest. I think based on a sporadic event performance there is a large group who could pressure him at times including CP, Rossi, Will, TGas. At the ProAm Nate had to beat 3@41 in both the quarters and final to win so Rossi and Freddie at least made him work. I think Nate has separated himself and as long as he stays focused he will remain a step above the pack.
  17. Ok .... Should be good now. We noticed sporadic issues and randomly slow throughput speed. I talked to our ISP and they were doing server maintenance this am. We just noticed the download and upload speed double so I believe their maintenance is over and looks like we are good.
  18. Webcast should be up ..... We are watching it on various devices here to monitor it. We have noticed some older iPads are having issues randomly but let me know if you notice any issues. I am monitoring this and the live stream as well
  19. Dave, Might be worth getting a thin hood for cold days as in cold air your ears can get uncomfortable (Robby has some from Camaro). I would also say that relying on an engine box heater is a good fall back but I am a firm believer in doing a quick block drain after skiing in the winter. That will ensure that if there are power outages that the engine is still safe. I have it down to less than 5 mins to drain the block and put the heat light in. We also find a warm shower or bucket of warm water for your hands after you get out of the water helps. Our water gets down to high 40's in the winter (Dec/Jan) and I have used an aquaskin comfortably and only use the dry suit on really cold days.
  20. Horton ..... Even better, used orange duct tape! As you are a father now, I will have bright colored band aids with dinosaur characters for any ouchies this year
  21. Horton, we already have the fluorescent tape on the dock highlighting the incident spot so there is not a repeat blood spilling event. I am also restocking the first aid kit just in case......
  22. @rayn it was great having you join us. Appreciated your help throughout the weekend and glad you had a good time. Look forward to seeing you back next year.
  23. This is a night event ..... What happens at night? People use lights to see, drive around, take pictures, etc. unless there was something that occurred that created an unsafe condition for the driver, a re-ride should not have been granted. If the condition was unsafe, the driver should immediately tell the boat judge about the condition before the skier even had a chance to request a re-ride or slow the boat down and get the skiers attention to stop. Unsafe would be something like a laser pointed at the boat or skier or something else intentionally trying to distract the driver or skier. A car or golf cart driving down the berm using lights to see at night could have happened to anyone. Even though this happened, the only people who should have been engaged at all in this discussion should have been the impacted skiers or designated skier representatives period. I have personally been involved and seen this type of situation occur in tournament little league baseball, high school baseball tournaments, soccer tournaments, etc and it is uncomfortable while in the midst. I am sorry this occurred and glad my boys weren't there to witness this difficult situation.
