  1. Congrats! When do they start the dig? Do you expect to ski it by spring? Your buddy Durwood and I did the renovations at Wet set a few years back. Lake projects are fun! Whose doing the excavation?
  2. I thought everyone was already running 39.5?! 41 should be a cake walk now.
  3. Ya what Scoke said! You're being a little dramatic! Ha ha
  4. I tried a 9800 for a few rides and actually thought I could get used to it but the ski I tried had so many holes in it that I feared for my life every time I rode it! I tried the dual lock Power Shell system a number of years back but kept breaking shells. Im sure that the shells are stronger now though! I've been interested in trying a 9900 or 9900 mid. I guess I have no excuse now! Other than I have a new Strada sitting in the boat.
  5. I was able to get on there but my problem with my Droid is that I can't open the pics or videos. I didn't see anything to try and open.
  6. Now that they are offering inserts, my guess is that he will have a tough time Keeping up with the orders. I have wanted to try one of the new skis but always shyed away because of the dual lock. I'm glad that Goode is finally offering this option! Lifetime warranty? That's awesome!
  7. Ha ha! Ya Brent that too!
  8. It would be interesting to put that on an older boat to see how it changed the wake characteristics
  9. Eric, you look like the Mad Scientist in those photos! But I love your enthusiasm!
  10. Wow! I knew I liked this site, but that just solidified it!
  11. Tony lives at Canyon Lake Ca. And still puts on a local shows now and then.
  12. Ed, Could you elaborate on your snow theory or point me toward one of your older posts that explains your theory? I too believe that there are multiple similarities. Thanks, Steve
  13. Also I forgot to mention that you can get replacement shells for $85.00 in case you needed to use a larger shell to accommodate your brace. Just a thought. Good luck with your search and I hope you get to ski this year!
  14. PT Mike Have you looked at the FM Z Series? They have the same type of release as the Radar boot but its a hard shell not a hybrid. If you're coming from a rubber boot it would probably be easier to get used to. I've owned the Quatro's since 2005 and they have worked flawlessly! Theyre kind of a pain to set up though. The Z Series just screws into your existing holes. If you want more ankle support without changing the release characteristics. Just replace the 1" strap that's provided with a larger more rigid strap.. These things are simple durable and are priced right!
  15. You can complain about speed control. dave's pretty good about that! Ha ha
  16. Old skier must know them too. I'll pass it on to my buddy Dave. Or give Kirby or Nicky a call.
  17. A buddy of mine lives on a ski lake In hillsboro. I believe their Club is soggy bottom ski club. Check out their website under the same name. If that's the site Your talking about I could Pass on your information to him.
  18. So, while using the stainless washer in set up as you described, it still releases smoothly and doesn't tear the cuff up?
  19. Skibug, What do mean with your washer comment? Sounds like you have a trick to reduce the chance of a pre-release. I really like the looks of the E but have been fearful of ejecting prematurely. I wonder how Obrien is gonna do it? Those look sick too!
  20. ACMX, Yes that's correct, It's designed to give you the support without limiting your reach. A friend of mine who has bad shoulders and has had surgery On them tried it the other day And said it worked perfectly! I know that when I'm using it I feel no strain in my shoulders whatsoever.
  21. ACMX, I recently purchased the slide. After getting use to it, It's great! Admittedly, It's a little cumbersome at first. Dave good was very helpful in Assisting me with the setup. It's a bit of a disconnected Feel but once you get in the rhythm your fine. I haven't skied in approximately 7 months do to a back injury. it does very good job in eliminating load on your upper body. I skied multiple sets with it and only experienced tenderness in my biceps. if you have any upper body injuries that you need to protect, or would like the ability to ski longer sets, the power vest is the ticket!
  22. You might also consider the Z Series. It has a similar released to the radar boot. then there would be no question of pre release due to mechanical failure. I was using the old style with all the hardware is got tired offsetting them back up after a binding move although they worked flawlessly! The Z Series comes with a 1" velcro strap to hold the liner on in a fall. I'm using a heavier 2" to give me the ankle support I'm used to. So far I'm really liking them.
