  1. D3 X5 Rose, a very forgiving intermediate to advanced ski. Depending how much she weighs on the length. Should be able to get a good deal on a used one. I get up in the fetal position all the time, however I stay on the back of it and almost have my rear dragging in the water to keep my weight on the back of the ski, until the boat picks up enough speed. No sense in wasting energy, let the boat do all the work.
  2. Since D3 made a xs binding, I decided to try the T-Factor. Yes even for my size 6 it is narrow where the flat of my foot is, can feel the side seams slightly, however doesn't bother me. Had issues with the front tongue not staying in the center, solved that problem, put a couple holes in the center top to line up with the last cross over on the bungie ties, put a loop made with a piece of lace in there, then ran my ties through the loop. Now my tongue stays put. Being only 5'1" the xs bindings were way to tall, (D3 would save on material on the xs if they made the whole binding an 1 1/2' shorter) I trimmed the front and back rubber part down by at least an 1 1/2". Had to cut and resew the pull on straps back on with a hand sewing awl. Now I have a pair of custom fit bindings, that I like. I said good bye to my old approach bindings. The true test was yesterday, for the first time in a long time, I crashed out the front and the bindings did what they were suppose to do, no damage to the extremities, after getting ejected out of the bindings. Only thing is haveing to deal with a sore neck today.
  3. Well at 105lbs behind the newer MC at 15 off, no matter how good an edge I have I can't get a smooth ride, I pretty much get launched at 30mph. A big difference between 30mph and 32mph wake size. at 30mph it is down right dangerous. 32 tolerable, 34 smaller bump but hard as a rock. A noticeable improvement at -22.
  4. dsmart. My boat that I just sold was a 2000 MC.
  5. Do you get attached to your boat? I do, I cried when my boat left with it's new owner last week. And now just yesterday Officer Friendly was sad when he sold his boat and it was hitched up ready to be towed to it's new owner. Kool Bean one of the Broho Corgis was feeling his loss too. I didn't see OF cry but I believe he cried when no one could see him. :(
  6. Buy my 2000 MC. It is a great skiing and tricking boat . If you add the Pylon extention and fill the fat sack that comes with, it makes it fun to goof around wake boarding or wake surfing. See in on SIA.
  7. Been on SIA for over a month now. Listed at $17,000.
  8. if you want big air pull my finger    I love it. The next time you plan on demonstrating the force of air OF, let me pull your finger to see what happens. Bigger Air maybe? So then, everyone come to Broho's "Return to Broho Tournament" in May next spring. We have a lot of fun, especially when we have the head to head, and the little guys beat the big guys. :) I am thinking as soon as I check with the boss I am going to make it official for Saturday night's dinner at the RTBT. JB's Bbcued ribs. And we all know beer goes really well with Ribs. and of course Red Wine. :)
  9. Where is the picture of the guys in speedo's?Â
  10.  Neoprene spray legs are the key to keeping the suit from dragging you down on your turn. When you try the suit on make sure you bend over to see if there is enough length in the torso. You don't want the torso too short, because if it is to short, when you go to bring your knees up to your chest on your pull up, you can get a nasty wedgie feeling pulling hard you know where.Â
  11. Gotcha Eddie Jr. HA. Cool Beans about the small boots coming soon. Yes I have tried the size 8 and my foot flops around in them. Â
  12. Eddie Jr. says "Closed toe Strada bindings take the foot pain away too. Definitely worth doing! " Tell your Dad I ski all year and they need to take care of the little people too. So your Dad needs to work on  Radar to start making a  small size, so I don't have pain all winter either.
  13. Skiing is the best therapy there is out there. No matter how I feel, my first pull up out of the water makes me feel exhilarated and happy. Every thing happyened in the day or the past fades away into the back ground and all I do is think about skiing and what I need to do through the course. AAAHHHHHH   sswwweeetttt. I love skiing. SKiing makes me happy.
  14. Nope, still on my Approach bindings.
  15. And one more request Eddie. I need the Strada Boots in a size small. That is all I am asking from Santa this year.
  16. I could have sworn I saw Doane with the sign name Zapp not Zippy?
  17. I had the most fun these last two summers at the Return to Broho tournament, where we barbecue Saturday, (this year we barbecued on Sun too, Ribs, Yum) then on Sunday after our three rounds of skiing is done, we have the head to head. The head to head is a lot of fun, anyone that wants to participate skies, with a handicap. This year a teenager beat all the big dog skiers. :)
  18. I started skiing tournaments, three summers ago now. The first tournaments I usually moped on most of my opening rounds. Almost gave up, but the challenge of it kept me coming back. I am always very happy when I make my opening pass. :) I love being out doors and being with all my new found water skiing friends at the tournaments. I'm a judge and driver. I really enjoy watching everyone else ski and I am happy when they ski well and happy when they get new PB's. I am there to challenge myself. If there is actually another skier in the same age group as me, then Yay for them if they ski better then me. I am glad I know a lot of skiers with boats, because my boat is in the shop waiting for Zippy to get back from a tournament, so he can fix it for me.
  19. I believe it has to do with the cost of water skiing. Just rec skiing is expensive. To ski in tournaments cost even more. You have the cost of lake rental times, boat maintenance, you need gas to commute to practice, for the boat, and to/from tournaments and the entry fees. With gas prices the way the are, the younger generation can't afford it. They have college cost or are still paying off their college cost, they are newly married, have little kids. Also you need a boat. At this time in the job market, they are lucky to even find a good job. If they have a good job, you need years to build up sick days, so you can call in sick to ski. You need years at one company to build up paid vacation days. Etc........ . You also need to have good medical coverage too, skiing can cause trips to the Docs office, for x-rays, casts and crutches. Having enough MONEY is the key. I might mention too, if your married, a spouse that doesn't mind you gone skiing, even though there is more important chores to do.
  20. they haven't fixed it in the new 2010 MasterCraft either. It has a real terrible bump slower then 32mph. Starts to smooth out at 32mph though. What age group is she? What is her max speed? Even though she is on edge, the extra bouncing may be because she is on the back of her ski a little to much? However, being light in the weight department doesn't help much with that bump either. The lighter you are, the less you are able to edge cut the bump and the higher you bounce over it. I have judged a lot of the jrs. and especially when you have a full tank and a heavy crew, it really makes that bump big. I've seen a lot of little guys airborne over the 08/09 wake.
  21. I don't know Doane, those youngsters seem to perfer my MC2000 for tricking. :)
  22. what about the Radar boots Richard?? And their gloves?? Apparel?
