  1. Hope he got to spot many sets again! Go Winston!
  2. -20% is the realistic number i read the last 20 years on skiboats and skiing forums. There're such good deals on lightly used ski boats on ski-it-again that unless having money to burn,i would buy used. PS. I don't even have money to buy use... :(
  3. @Wish I did 1700 hrs with originals Taylor 8mm on my 94 MC. Were still working fine but found a bit of rust so no chances.
  4. They never post a price for those vacations. Probably means that i can't afford it...
  5. @Zman 's way is the right way to do it. The 4 foot section add rigitidy plus flotation.
  6. MSN is out of Reflex shell and i was notified only 3 days after ordering that they were B.O. when i asked for a tracking number. Since i lost my Reflex shell in the lake last friday i needed a replacement right away. H2O proshop was a pleasure to deal with and after ordering a shell size 10 that was in the mail 1 hr after ordering Austin suggested that i should be on a size 8 shell (shoe size 10-10.5) he ran down to the post office and added a size 8 to my order without me asking... Sent an e mail saying: ''Just try both and return the one you don't need!!!'' Kudos to H2Oproshop and Austin for great service!!! Great proshop for all the northeast region and more!
  7. Materials,cores,technology...Nothing mathers to me. I ski poorly on all of them!
  8. A ski partner has an 03 X7 with the 310. Boat is a dog...with a broken leg. Can't imagine a barefooter liking this set up.
  9. @Golfguy The rope was coil somehow on the floor but when the boat started moving that' when it hooked my Reflex shell... From now, skiers will be jumping in with the rope either in water or coiled in their hands. My 94 Prostar is a small boat and when we're 3-4,there's a lot of equipement on the floor...
  10. Lost a Reflex shell tonite when it got caught in the rope before tightening. What's the proper way to jump in ? Coiled rope in hand or layed in water or other? We were 3 so the observer wasn't paying enough attention obviously as he was standing in the back feeding the rope. Anyone has a cheap good condition Reflex shell RFF size 10 before i order from Miami Nautique?
  11. Well, until tonite nothing major but my dumbass ski partner was feeding rope to another skier that just jumped in and realize too late that he just through my Reflex shell in the water as i was getting the boat moving. Instead of jumping in when we were 7-8 feet from it,he just yelled''you're boot is in the water and tried to rope it... :( By the time i stopped the boat and got out of seat...well... I hate posting in this thread!
  12. Agree with Thager. Way too much spray in the choices... Voted eyepeeler.
  13. @SkiJay Are you thinking of designing a ski specific for the WF ?
  14. ''...never been on a course and have no interest...'' Aaaaaaaggggghhhh....
  15. There's a temp sensor for the gauge and a a second one one for the ECM. For the needle to go 220 and for the engine to go into limp mode you must have a real overheating problem. But the gauge shouldn't go back to normal instantely when pulling back the throttle... Weird...Could the rubber impeller spin on the brass hub under certain conditions...?
  16. Without fuel pressure reading, could be a bad pick up coil, ignition module and couples more things. Rich smell could indicate fast intermittent spark problems but you would loose more then 100 rpms...i think...? You can drive around without engine cover and flame arrestor and check fuel spray when it happens under load...put one of those cheap inline spark tester on each plug to check if you're loosing spark... You mentionned clear filter near tank but on my 94 fuel filter is AFTER the pump before tbi...could be different on a 96,don't know. Good luck! Edit:There is a MAP sensor on that engine .
  17. Agree with @6balls if you're a shortline skier or even 28-32 off you'll move the boat around. Not the greatest tracking boat ever... Sweet low slalom wake...
  18. Wish i was closer!!! That's the kind of event that could bring new crowd to regular tournament! Sounds really fun and not stressful. @Jordan and @andjules you guys and others from Toronto area should go!
  19. There's a screen in the fuel pump inlet that often get clogged.Symptoms are exactly what you describe and it happens every 3-4 years on my 94.Carpet fibers ,dog hairs and other shit will reduced fuel flow when under load but running fine at idle or revving in neutral.Lots of threads about this on Team Talk. Easy to check
  20. Don't know...but maybe the ones without testicules are the ones needing a loud engine to compensate. A friend with a 08 MC with 6 liters was recently ''suggested'' by the small town mayor to do something about his boat noise before neighbors do something about it... I ski early in the morning around 6:30 -7:00 am and no way i would intentionnaly annoy the rest of the lake residents with a loud engine. In my mind, quietter is better!
  21. Post some pics and you'll get the best ski boat pricing guide ever made!!! Us!
  22. @LeonL You'll keep on skiing? Would love some pics.Private ski lake is a dream for many of us. Of course some will say it's a nightmare to maintain...
  23. Greatest.....skiing.....webcast......EVER!!! Congrats to all involve especially Tony for more then 11 hrs of commentary. Not an easy job to do!!!
