No need for a 6.2 in a GMC. The 5.3 is plenty for towing your Prostar IMO.
Look for sales on the 2020 and even 2019 for good deals.
Rams with the 5.7 are also not pricey.

There's big chunk of rust blocking the drain.Take a piece of steel wire (coat hanger) and poke around and water and rust chunks will come out.You should really do that on both side.If a there's a lot of rust you can leave the drain plug open and run the engine while moving the steel wire to flush it out.
Did you try both skis in the same conditions? If so,i'm surprise that you got more bouys on an ski that didn't feel good or unstable.
Slalom skier will always go for more bouys...
