  1. Tried to go back to the Approaches. About the the same result, 2@13m/58km/h, slightly better skiing but far from good. Feels frustrating and confusing. Will give it a couple of more sets, then try my Approach on the Prophecy if it still doesn´t feels ok. But the season in Sweden is almost over, at least the good part of the season and I am far from last years form. I would pay big bucks for a ski setup that works like the old Monza.....If I only could figure out what it would be
  2. Roger, I tried moving bindings backwards. I meassure at the stitches. If anything, I think maybe my foot are a little bit more separated than they was when I used Approach. I really like the system and really want it to work, but I get kind of frustrated here. Haven´s skied this bad and inconcistent in 5 years. But I am also aware that I might not be on the right ski. Skied a 05 Monza until last year. BTW, I really like this forum:-)
  3. John, Starting on 18 meters then down to 13 where I usually ends round 3 ball. 58km/h
  4. Hi, Anyone tried the RS-1 and NOT liked it? I have skied with the RS-1 for about 30-40 sets and ski really bad. I tried on both the Prophecy and the A1. Similar problem on both skis. The ski is finish the turn a little to hard, makes me come back on the ski. This makes me pulled up before the first wake, causing bodycrush at the wake and very narrow for the next buoy. Thought it first was the A1 so I tweaked both bindings and fin in all possible direction. Finally I decided to try the Prophecy again, with the same symptoms. I thinking maybe the front to back movement ability maybe is not a good thing for me. I will try my Approaches to see if this theory is true, but it would be intresting to hear if anyone else has experienced the same. Besides I ski like a bag of garbage, the RS-1 are great:-)
  5. Long time, no writing. After a couple of stes with RS-1 bindings everyting feels great. I have now switched to the Prophecy. Only skied once yet, but first impression was that the A1 was riding deeper than the Prophecy. I really like the A1 but will give the Prophecy an honest shot, at least 5 sets. If the A1 still feels better than A1 it is.
  6. Chuck, Thanks for the input. I will mount my RS-1 right away. Screw "test one thing at the time":-) I did try RS-1 last year and the felt great.
  7. Hi, Moved the bindings one hole back and run 4 passes. Felt OK, but not great. It felt like the ski has very big radius turning which makes later and later. I will give at couple of more sets and then try the Prophecy
  8. MS, I have not ski yet. Hopefully I will ski a couple of sets this weekend.' I am 5,7, weight 175/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-embarassed.gif
  9. Hi Chuck, Can not move the bindings any moore forward. I have x-small front and small rear. I can move the frontbinding 1 hole forward, but not the rear. I allready got moore space between the binding than I had on the monza. I can try forward later, when I start to use my RS-1.
  10. I was skiing 05 Monza until this year. I have my old double Approach to start with. When I feel comfortable, I will switch to RS-a but don´t want to switch both bindings and ski. I´m thinking bindings back will be a good thing to start try. If it feels ok I will mount my RS-1 in a couple of sets. I also have a Prophecy, but since the Approach doesn't fit it, I start with the A1. So the plan is, get used to A1, get used to RS-1 and then try the Prophecy. By the time i have decided what to ski, it´s probably ice on the lakes again:-)
  11. MS The ski is a 66.25 Frontbinding 29,5 0,77 6,84 2,5
  12. Hi, Had my first set of the year on my new A1. The first set is always the first set of course, but the ski felt terrible wrong. Everything is factorysetting, bindings, fin and wing. The pullout felt OK, but when I turn in for the gate, the ski seemed to be left behind, it felt liked it stopped when I turn in. Offside, felt like I was falling towards the surface and on side was the tail popping. Any idea? First thought was to move the bindings back.
  13. I bought both. Lots of money, but less than travelling to US from Sweden to try skis/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gifÂÂ
  14. Hi Horton, I have read the tests, but al the skis was not in it. I live in Sweden som it would be a little hard to demo from H20, unless they send skis worldwide:-(
  15. I know this is a stupid question, but I am looking for advice which would be my next ski. I am 5,8, weight 164, pb 1@35, 58km/h. My average would be something like 2-3 at 32. RFF. Right now I am skiing a 2005 66" Monza with double approach. My biggest weaknes is preturn and turn on offside. I like the Monza but it starts falling in pieces and also think my skiing would step up a little bit with a more forgiving ski. I have very limited possibilities to demo skis but during the summer I have tried RS-1, nice ski when ridden with patient, but I tend to push the ski in the turn and then it really did not worked. Sixam SS, I had a hard time to initiate the turn and also falling over at the onside. RCX, by some funky reason that I not have figured out, it turned twice on the off side. Also explodes off the second wake which was a new experience. The RCX did I only ride once, SS twice, RS-1 4 times. Right now I thinking an A-1 is the ski, but also considering a Prophecy. On the other hand, some of the older models might be a better ski, such a F1, Monza or X5. Well, just let me know your thoughts or share your experience. Thanks
  16. I read that the extra width on the A1 makes the skis behave as a bigger ski so a 65 would act like a 66. Any comments to that?
  17. Hi, I have never seen the draft or hinge for realI. heard some say it´a hybrid between hard shell and rubber. I am now skiing with double Aproaches and tried the RS-1 wich I like. Thinking about either draft or RS-1.
  18. I have always ride 66" skis. Is it to small? I am 5.8, weigth 164 and skiing a couple at 32, 36 mp/h. Today I am on a 2005 Monza. The next ski is either A1 och Prophecy.
  19. MS Do you prefer the A-1 over the RS-1. I have tried the RS-1 but find it a little bit difficult and is now considering an A-1. The last 4 years I hade ride a Monza 04
