  1. Good to know @slow ! How much further back would you estimate it to be in comparison? 1/16th? 1/8?
  2. @webbdawg, hahaa i supposed youre right about the small pool of people trying both. Didnt think of that. And I agree, Shanes advice is always solid. @Shane, thanks for the input. What size Prophecy are you riding? Any new settings for bindings and fin?
  3. Hey everyone, Im looking into getting one of these two skis. I can get a decent deal on either right now. Have always skied HO's since the CDX. Never skied a Connelly and with all the good things Ive read about the new Prophecy has got me wondering. Would like to hear opinions from people especially those who have skied both. Pros and cons of each, differences etc. I ski both 34 and 36 at 28 off currently. 5'9" and 180 lbs...trying to get to 175. Also suggestions on sizing are welcomed as well. Im guessing the 66 A3 or a 67 Prophecy....know the lengths are measured differently. Thanks
  4. @bhs not sure on how cold of water youre going to be in, but I use and recommend you the Oneill Heat 4/3....Wileys sells them for 259. Its got a one sided seam weld that doesnt let water in and makes a huge difference. The psycho is sealed on both sides I think and also has a more flexible neoprene. But for slalom skiing Id say the Heat is plenty stretchy enough and its a lot cheaper than the Psycho. It may even be a little more durable. Ive had it a couple years and its holding up great. Ive used it in water down to the upper 40s so far and been fine. A rash guard under it can give you extra warmth if you need it as well.
  5. Hey guys, just got a new 66.5 A2 and its the first brand new ski I've had in a while. There's a sticker with flex numbers on it which read 68/104/130/144. For those in the know, are there certain numbers to look for? I know some people flex test skis and each ski design has a different makeup but how do you make sense of the flex numbers? Whats on the stiff side and what numbers are on the soft side? Do most of you just ignore them and just ski? Or are having certain flex numbers important to you?
