  1. @Hucklefin I've used Terry's video coaching service before. The video I received back several years ago is still something I can reference and find useful to this day. When I used Givego responses were generally less than 90 seconds emphasizing one element of your skiing. (this isn't necessarily a bad thing) My video from Terry was just shy of 20 minutes and a very comprehensive breakdown of how I could improve.
  2. @Jtim3032 another quick SurePath Question: Is it possible to power the Sure Path rover Antenna (in boat) from the jump switch cable rather than the USB port?
  3. I have the men's version of this vest: https://followwake.com/shop/vests/vests-ladies/primary-ladies-jacket-2?attribute_pa_color=black Significantly cheaper than the Eagle/Stokes/Oneil versions but still very stylish and functional.
  4. @DSP pretty much nailed all of the private options. You may want to checkout the Utah Waterski Club Facebook page as well, lots of members on that page who ski at some of the public reservoirs around Utah.
  5. @Jtim3032 thanks for the quick/detailed reply!
  6. @Jtim3032 are there any plans to develop an app for the system so that I could just use my regular iphone instead of the provided android phone?
  7. Two main goals for 2021: 1. Teach wife to drive boat (3 of my boat drivers moved) 2. Still have wife at end of summer
  8. I tested positive back in March, also a positive antibody test a few months later and donated plasma a few times which also showed anti bodies. For me it felt like the flu or a really bad cold for about 4 days. Couldn't kick the cough for about 3 weeks afterwords.
  9. We switched from Turkey to lobster a few years ago.
  10. I use one and I'm a huge fan. It's not for everyone though, its pretty useless for non fitness/recovery tracking given that it doesn't even tell time.
  11. @RichardDoane From the rulebook: "If the boat pylon deviates more than 20cm from the centre of the course at the approximate position where the skier is passing each buoy, an optional re-ride shall be awarded if the path of deviation was a disadvantage to the skier unless the skier makes a complete pass. A mandatory re-ride shall be required if the path of deviation was an advantage to the skier. It shall be considered an advantage if the boat pylon deviates outside the 20cm toward the buoy that the skier is attempting to get around. It shall be considered a disadvantage if the boat pylon deviates outside the 20cm away from the buoy that the skier is attempting to get around."
  12. @Than_Bogan great SAT word of the day with cantankerous. @Horton For a record tournament, aren't all boat paths reviewed on site live? From the rulebook: "The Chief Judge will assign an end-course Judge to monitor the end-course video and award re-rides on the following criteria:" Given the amount of scrutiny a score that high generates if something was up when they reviewed it onsite I'd imagine they wouldn't have submitted the score?
  13. What is the story on Diamond Springs? I actually go to Yerington, NV semi regularly for work.
  14. Is something like this too much? I'm biased because I own basically the same boat but this would be an awesome pickup. https://www.onlyinboards.com/1995-Mastercraft-Prostar-190-for-sale-North-Hampton-New-Hampshire-115134.aspx
  15. My family used to own a 2001 Sunsetter. It’s pretty wild how versatile it was. We could pack 9 people in it with a cooler for a day of relaxing or get up early and run into 35 with no complaints about the wake. All on very busy Lake Lanier. In your price range it would be hard to go wrong with a Sunsetter.

    2012 TXi Value

https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=56286 This example has fewer hours (285) and is slightly newer (2014) at 40k. Seems like the 32-35 suggestion is right on.
  17. My fiance is getting pretty close to running the course at 26.7 mph @ 15 off. We ski behind a couple of different boats regularly, her power rankings would probably be as follows: 1. 2015 Carbon Pro 2. 1997 Nautique 196 3. 1995 Prostar 190 / 2008 Nautique 196
  18. @Horton if that is MSRP, any thoughts on what promos will be selling for next fall? Looks like most of the 6L 2020's are going for around 70 at the moment.
  19. I also did a virtual set with @twhisper and have 4 more that I've purchased as a part of a package. It's 100% worth the money, the side by side comparison and his teaching style mesh really well for me. I'm already seeing pretty significant buoy count improvements. It might be more fun to try 7 different skis, 4 different ZO letters, and 72 different fin settings than to work on yourself. But for real sustained improvement there is no better method than pro coaching.
  20. Not allowed to travel for work so skiing way more!
  21. I have a 1995 with 600 hours on it with the LT-1. Maintenance has been minimal, just a fuel pump since I’ve owned it (5 years). Skis great and I personally think it drives as well as most newer boats. The other boat I ski behind regularly is a 1997 196 which has a smaller bump @ 22 but after that it’s all the same to me.
  22. I've had pretty good luck on Ski-It-Again. I generally always look the person up on USA Waterski just to make sure they are a real person.
  23. The scariest part of all of this is that it’s happening with a booming economy. Inevitably there will be some sort of recession at some point. How many $75,000 ski boats and $150,000 wake boats will get sold then?
  24. Really nice people at No Wake Lake! I've managed to grab a few sets there over the years.
