  1. John, you Lake Placid guys are truly nuts...just put on the other skis and head over to Whiteface! Much kinder to the body!!! guess I am a wuss.
  2. As a skier it is "put it in gear" then when the line is tight, "aaaand go". As the driver when the skier says whatever to indicate he's ready I respond with "here we go"
  3. I love the PTM...best mirror ever. Since a lot of the time there are only 2 of us, skier and driver, when I drive I am focused on the course, however with the PTM I am also seeing the skier, I guess peripherally would be the best way to describe it. and that peripheral view is much wider with the PTM.
  4. Yea John, but I must say, after seeing you ski Monday, I am not surprised! Thanks again for Sunday and Monday morning.
  5. I'm 61 and didn't even start until I was 48. I have no intentions of stopping...ever. I will never get into shorter line lengths, but I guarantee that I am having just as much fun as you short line guys!
  6. now I have a dumb question...are the Camaro suits unisex...I notice they don't have a ladies version.
  7. Looking for some advice on the ladies heater wetsuit. Does anyone know how the sizing runs on these? I went to the Eagle website and I see size charts for barefoot suits, vests and drysuits, but nothing for wetsuits. Am I just missing something here? Does anyone have the heater wetsuit? Do you recommend it?
  8. Contact Seth Stisher for ski recommendations. I think his son was about that age on one ski.
  9. Are you sure about this? I went on line to get more info and can't find anything.
  10. My Otis is skiing....it is glass and he's skiing like he is 18 again...John knows how good that was better than I do.
  11. I wish I has more equipment to give, but we gave Jodi everything we had last summer. I think Jodi gave me an address to send cash donations, but I can't find it. Does anyone have that address? I know they were working on getting not for profit status so donations could be tax deductible. I think they would get a lot more in monetary donations if it were tax deductible.
  12. Ski must be facing the port side on the platform. If someone puts it on the platform for me and it's the wrong way, I have to turn it around. Back foot in first then front. In the water the boat has to be at a complete stop. If in boat is in gear I tell the driver I'm not ready (everyone then assumes I am "warming the wetsuit"), then 2 commands : in gear and okey dokey. Boy am I glad I don't have to adjust all the stuff you guys adjust! The vest covers anything that might escape!!

  14. A couple of questions... 1. How high end/new should the equipment be? We have a couple of HO System 8 that are in really good condition, but I don't know if they are too old/ not high end enough. 2. Is there an address to ship stuff to? 3. Can we just send a donation to be used to buy them new stuff?
  15. I rode a 66" HO Espirit and a KD3000 for quite a few years when I first started. Both were marketed as a woman's ski, although 10 years ago I think that just meant "pink it and shrink it". I think that has changed, and a woman's ski is designed be more forgiving for the smaller and lighter skier today. I think @gsm peter has some very valid points.
