  1. I think in that price range an early 2000s Malibu Response LX has a smaller wake than the Nautique. It would probably cost a bit more but the Centurion Carbon Pro had a small wake at slow speeds.
  2. If I could talk my wife into Florida I would be all over that. For some reason my wife is anti Florida. On a ski lake and close to the ocean.
  3. That is some overall skiing. Very impressive.
  4. If I read this thread correctly if I want to join USAWS this year even if all I plan to do is ski at my home lake I need to take the SafeSport training is that correct?
  5. I like your idea but I ski a 68 and my ski partners ski shorter. Nobody on my lake skis a 68.
  6. I never met Jim either but enjoyed him and his family on BOS. I am so sorry for your loss.
  7. I have a 67” Radar Katana that I skied on at 205 pounds this summer and it comes out of the water super easily. I skied it in the course at 30 and 32 mph and it is a lot of fun to rip turns and it crosses the wake well. It is probably less aggressive than the Union but would be easier out of the water than the Union particularly at 69”. I never read about the Katana but it is a really good ski.
  8. @lpskier I agree that most of the events in the east are Class C and very reasonably priced almost always well under $100 for multiple rounds of slalom. I don’t find those costs excessive.
  9. I was talking with a buddy this morning about the costs of tournaments and frankly I don’t think they are that high. I play some golf tournaments and they are $100-$150 per tournament. I don’t think $150 for a 3 round tournament is excessive.
  10. It will absolutely be a blast and you should do it. You may pick up an addiction to running the course but you will still have fun.
  11. Congratulations that is an awesome accomplishment.
  12. Working on 32/15 that Syndicate Omni is a great ski and a good fit for where your level is.
  13. I have done that but another option is to use Dual Lock. I have used DL to make it easy to flip a rear back and forth for beginning trickers.
  14. I think @ryota is in Korea he would probably be a good person to connect with about skiing in Korea as well. The categories are guidelines. A skier in the Free Skier class will be easier to get up on, more supportive at slower speeds and less responsive. That said if you can get up on a ski and have fun on it you can ski on any of the classifications.
  15. How far are you going to tow it? I have towed an 02 Response LX with a vehicle with a 3500 tow capacity (Mazda CX9) but I just pulled it in and out and didn’t tow it far. Once in a while I think it would be okay but I wouldn’t tow it far regularly.
