  1. @horton I have a 196 but ski behind two responses quite a bit.
  2. Received a Competition Slalom Line, S Series from S-Lines. Easy to order, quick delivery, I made a change to my order (color) and they quickly responded to my change request. Line looks great, can't wait to try it out. A minor constructive feedback is the loops between lengths are on the small side. I prefer larger loops when dealing with putting the line on the pylon.
  3. If the liner releases from the shell and the shell releases from the Reflex mechanism, does the shell sink?
  4. I would like to see the dismount from the stilt skis.
  5. That would be an interesting poll . . . how many of us carry a spare prop and tools?
  6. In the future, we may print our skis to our weight, height, age, and ability.
  7. Good memories of Jack visiting at Lakeview Village in Colorado. Always engaging and enthusiastic. A legend in our sport. Godspeed to him on his new journey.
  8. I bought a ski through him this year. I got the ski but had to push him on shipment, etc. When I did question the shipping, he sent me past shipping details for another customer in what felt like an attempt to put me off. I did get the ski in about 10 days, not the usual 3-4 days that we all have become accustomed to as of late. I doubt I do business with him again.
  9. @oldjeep Yes, it definitely looks like it is made in the U.S.A, not some foreign made scooter.
  10. @tel We have the Wally yellow boat guides and green 55M's along with Wally turn buoys. We just put them in for the third season and they look great. I also compared to a new one from the shed and very little difference in color. We're in Colorado at 5000 feet elevation with intense sunshine and they are in from the beginning of April to the beginning of November. Prior to this I was painting polyforms every year.

Please no more apps. I'm apped out.
  12. Interesting . . . Nate Smith no longer shows up on SafeSports's Centralized Discipline Database
  13. One change in the ownership or top management of a manufacturer could easily result in the discontinuance of an entire product or brand, likely due to profit and loss of that product or brand. Happens all the time in the corporate world, especially publicly traded corporations that have management by objectives goals based on quarterly and annual timeframes. 6balls has a point with brand loyalty and using the ski boat market as an entry into a more lucrative barge market. But that's a long transition period that would be easy for a quarter to quarter profit based manufacturer to dismiss.
  14. Relevant topic for me right now as I'm on our Water Sports Committee on a 42 acre private lake with 18 homes, a course, and a couple of surfers. We just re-wrote our rules and they are out for review. Our max boat length is 21 foot. We went back and forth between 500 lbs and 750 lbs max ballast and ended up at 750 lbs. We also have a stipulation that you are responsible for your wakes damage, but I see determining who was responsible for damage, especially over a season or two, and enforcing that as another issue.
  15. I track all packages sent to my address through FedEx, UPS, and USPS. It is easy to set-up on their websites. I am automatically notified as a package moves through their system. In the case of USPS, it will tell me when Pre-Shipment info is sent to them, when the package actually arrived at their facility, etc. Its interesting when "someone" tells me they shipped a package, and then I don't see pre-shipment information for another two days, and then the package doesn't actually arrive at a USPS center for another two days.
  16. You could get flat chested taking those poundings.
  17. @LeonL We spend $20k a year for five monthly applications which includes the labor. Buying in bulk.
  18. Beneficial bacteria will "eat up" nutrients, phosphorus and nitrogen. We use it in a 40 acre lake, 6 foot average depth, and it has essentially eliminated algae blooms. Just google it. Lots of options.
  19. Dear Radar - how about a 68" Senate?
  20. I've used the Ulysse Speedometer app on android in the past to calibrate my Jeep's speedo. It worked well.
  21. Kind of tough to take a file to a new $150 fin.
