  1. After continuing to look for a company to repair my ski partners PCM GT-40 ECM, we found a company in Arvada Colorado (ECU Repair Now) http://www.ecurepairnow.com/ that was willing to take a look at it for us. It took them about a month and they ended up having to order some parts and do some research but were able to get us back on the water for around $500. We received it back from them this fall (just before taking the boat out for the season), and it seemed to work like new. Thank you ECU Repair Now!!!!!
  2. The fuel pump relay is energized for a few seconds when you turn the key (at least it is supposed to). The relay is turned on by a ground being created in the ECM that temporarily energizes that relay which in turn energizes the pumps. I am not sure if that same ground is created once the engine starts or if there is another means that powers the pumps at that point. If it is just needed when the key is turned initially, a switch could be installed that would need to be manually be turned on and off again, but I am guessing that same circuit is used once the engine starts and would need to be shut off to stop flowing fuel to the engine in a normal or emergency shutdown. Anyway, it is this circuit in the ECM that is the issue
  3. Hi everyone, After doing some troubleshooting on a friends boat, we have determined that the computer needs to be repaired or replaced, and have not gotten anywhere in finding a solution. The problem is that the relay associated with the fuel pumps (second one in the circuit) is not energizing for the brief period after turning the key on, like it is supposed to. It seems like the input to the computer is supposed to create a briefly held ground path for the relay to be turned on, but isn't. I have verified this operation on my boat with the same engine, and after installing my boats computer in his boat, his runs great. Long story short, I have not researched this a lot yet, but he has called everyone from a Correct Craft dealer, PCM, Discount Inboard Marine, and a couple ECM repair places he found on the internet and hasn't gotten anywhere. The story he is being told is that they do not make these any longer, and has not found anyone who can help him out or point him to a solution. Because there are a lot of these boats still in service and running strong, I have to believe someone has a solution for this, and thank you in advance for your feedback. Have a great day! Kent
  4. Jena and I might have to come down and see you @MS, as we still have 30" of ice, and just got another 17' of snow on Thrus/Friday which set an all time record of over 40" of snow in April in Duluth. I am guessing there will still be ice on the lakes up here on fishing opener May 11, but it should be out shortly after that. Amazing how different from last season when it set an early ice out record around March 28th.
  5. This is our forecast for tomorrow..... A major winter storm is heading into our area. Snow will begin between 7am – noon on Thursday. The Duluth area is expected to get 10+ inches of heavy snow with sustained winds at 25 mph and gusts of 40–50 mph off of Lake Superior. This storm is expect to be an all snow event in the Duluth area. Heavy snow in trees may result in downed power lines and power interruptions. Travel will be difficult and not recommended. If this keeps up (which I think it will because 2 more storms are predicted in the next 6 days), unfortunately, I think we are going to beat our all time record for ice our on our lake which is May 9th. There will still be ice on the lakes for the MN fishing opener.....
  6. Be nice everyone...... With the forecast predicting 2-4 inches of snow tonight in Duluth, and 2.5-3' of ice on our lake, we should have ice out my early May this season. Duluth is a great place to ski (from July-Aug). On a more serious note, you can send me a message Jenna and we can work getting you some skiing. I believe my wife (who is a slalom and trick skier as well) is actually one of your instructors in the PT program.
  7. Hi Marco, My brother and sister inlaw live in Montrose and want us to come and ski in November with out kids. What is the snow like in Telluride in that timeframe?

  9. I agree and thank everyone for an extremely well run (and fun) tournament. @Wish, I believe it is going to be held again there next year.
  10. I have skiing partner that is 69 that had both knees replaced about 4 years ago. His main activity now is biking and waterskiing along with downhill skiing in the winter months. My wife is a PT and has examined him and worked with him before and after his surgery. Her feelings were that he had waited too long to have the replacement and that his ligaments (I believe), had loosened up and he had created other issues walking and moving differently for so long that it made things worse now than they would have otherwise been. If you would like to talk to him directly, I can get you his phone number. I was watching him the other day, and he is free skiing better than he ever has (in my opinion of him over the past 20 years).
  11. I am not sure if I am missing something, but I can not seem to get anything on my I-phone after loading the app. I think I should be on the "live scores" tab, but don't see anything but a message from 9:07 this morning. Are there instructions anywhere, or am I missing something simple?
  12. I have a friend that has a 95 SNOB, which I ski behind once in a while. I also have a 96 closed bow myself. I believe that they are the same hull, and all that was done was moved the dash and front seats back slightly to allow for the open bow. The only bummer with that is there is not much if any room to walk behind the drivers seat (to get to the back of the boat) as the motor box is only about 4-6 inches from the drivers seat. I would guess you would just get used to walking to the back of the boat on the other side or squeezing thru or stepping over the drivers seat. As far as skiing goes, both ski and driver very well.
