  1. Just tuned in, why is nate not skiing?

    .

or it’s because those lakes have wire courses and wire courses are not approved to use with Sure-Path? At least that’s the case in Europe from what I’ve heard. So lakes in Europe with wire type course can not hold record capability tournaments any more…
  3. I’m flying into Miami 22 Nov from Sweden for a week of skiing mostly in the Orlando area. I would love set though at the Greater Miami Ski Club the late afternoon 22 Nov if a Baller member would be kind enough to bring me as a guest?
  4. Jeff Rodgers ran 1 at 43 it on a Goode 9100, same ski that Kristi Overton set the womens World Record of 1 at 41on around the same time, that held for many years. Start of a new era in ski design with the light carbon fiber skis. Reason I bought a 9100 when I started course skiing around 1998 at already old age.
  5. Nate has no boat sponsor so he is free to set a world record behind any brand...
  6. Just wanted to give some input from Sweden since my wife and I now have skied with OffCourse (OC in the rest of the text) mounted on our Malibu Response 340hp from 2005 equipped with PP Stargazer and Z-box. We have the boat based in the Stockholm archipelago with no possiblity to put in a course at our location close to our house. When I first heard of OC a couple of years ago I immediately thought that it would be perfect for archipelago course like skiing after our own boat instead of only doing free skiing. We are both fixed buoy course skiers also and members of a club with a course on a lake. My wife skis into 32mph and I ski into 32off at 34mph (soon old enough for 32mph though..). I have to say that OC lived up to all my high expectations. The best things are actually the new Z-magazines (as seen in the pic below) that holds 24 balls each, matching the life of the CO2 cartridge so you reload everyting at the same time. The Z magazines allows you to do 48 turns in a row if you have the space and the stamina, absolutely wonderful! You do need to get the course width right and you do need to learn how to time the start with the boat crew so you get the zero ball were you want it, but that is easily solved after a couple of tries. I really think that this is a great training aid if you don't have access to a normal course where you ski, well done @ErikBerghiller !!!

  8. Would be great to know which model Goode respective skier uses if someone has the knowledge and cares to share?
  9. @adamhcaldwell on this subject from the "Connection and Swing" thread. Isn't this close to what @mrpreuss is saying @AdamCord ? "adamhcaldwell Posts: 773 Open or Level 9 Skier February 2020 edited February 2020 If you successfully create the energy in the downswing to CL, and time the release and elevate your COM through CL, THEN the next focus is to keep that handle as close to your body as as humanly possible while you continue to elevate the handle (and your COM) higher off the water in the preturn. From CL out, look to bring the handle progressively from the bellybutton upwards toward the shoulders until you feel that ski starting to go nearly parallel with the course (meaning the ski has 'preturned' underneath you) before you release the outside hand from the handle. This will make sure your body is continuing to actively swing around the pylon while the ski rotates into the turn up course of the buoy. Note: If you don not make an effort to "elevate your COM" through CL, then trying to keep the handle close to your body will take a ton of effort in your arms, and is a huge sign your missing it. Your forearms will burn. Must be rising through CL first and keeping the handle close should be almost "easy" in comparison."
