we had big lilly problems 4 yrs ago (along w several other types of vegitation). sterile grass carp cleaned everything out, even the lillies.

Riding a ski until you "want to ski good" sure doesn't sound like a ski test.
Sounds like a leeching way to get/ride free skis until you find one that that's "good".

@6balls-I ran 39 a pretty good amount in practice my last two years at 36 mph, It seems like two lifetimes ago!

They typically don't ride other skis in tournament.

One summer (18 yrs old) tried a course on public water in Texarkana (@36 mph cause thats what we thought you ran the boat at cause the pros did it at champion lake) and failed miserably, duh! Went to college in the fall and had ski team try outs (LaTech). Low and behold the guy in charge said "you can slow the boat down", Ran 15-30mph, 32 mph, 34 mph. Been a junkie ever since. Also learned to jump and trick in the same week.

OB, awesome that your kids are getting into skiing, my boy really got the itch this summer and is having a blast (except for the typical slalom frustration of always ending in failure_Why do we do this again???)

No need, I never ran it in a tournament, 5 was tops and that was class C. Horton is already threatening to ban me, don't encourage him.

First 38 I ever ran in a tournament was way back in MII (way back) @ ascension lake in baton rouge, the driver (won't name) thought i had slack out the gates and throttled back, sunk me up to my knees and boom, big yard sale.

What size ski are u on? I like a little less length (6.835-6.840). The dft (depending on u ski size can affect glide on gate). As Shane said, always leave the handle Out and move ski and hips n to turn. The elite likes low effort carve and big edge change

We can meet half way (especially if there is a baller around to bum a set). We are undecided as to what the new boat will be.
What changes when the rope gets shorter? Why does it get harder? How does that relate to speed?
