W/O a video my first guess would be a combination of handle control and closing off at the finish of the turn. If u throw that handle out quick then rotate to turn, the ski will stall. Post a vid.

Option 7: skiing is an effort in failure- the nature of the beast is never to beat it. I am looking for a new sport. Thumb sucking, tire kicking, homemade wine and beer making perhaps. Ha!!!

I spent a year on a super stiff F-1. Great ski, but it takes strength and technical prowess. when I switched to something more forgiving, my average jumped up (not top score). I was able to run more bouys on average with more mistakes. I think the idea of a tune up ski is a very good idea. Like training for a bike race with a heavy set of rims and tires (come race day put on the super light aero wheels).

Big props out to my boy JD, first mtb race (tough three lapper) he finished with a smile and a cold beer waiting on him. Good job!! Sure makes skiing seem physically easy!
