  1. I'm 5'8", 164#, have been using a Connelly Aspect 67in for the last 2 years. I recently acquired an XTR Wide Ride CC 64in without bindings. I put my Connelly bindings on and tried it out today. I could not get my knees drawn up far enough to get the ski flat enough to get up out of the water. I'm wondering if I can change the location of the bindings to make the ski flatter. If so which way would I move the front foot and which way the rear foot. I'm LFF skier. Thanks, Bill Montgomery
  2. In August of 2022, someone sent me this screenshot, I believe it's called Little Beech Creek. We skied there then, let's just say there were a lot of other boats from jetskis to cruisers in and out all day.
  3. @Rednucleus upper 60s is about it for me, I'm 70 and have always been coldblooded.
  4. Has anyone tried the Zerofit Heatrub Ultimate Base Layer? Currently, I'm using a Camaro Titanium Shorty under an O'Neill Epic 4/3 full suit. I'm always looking for something warmer that I can still move in.
  5. How do you highlight the person you're replying to? I can use their name in a direct address fashion in my reply, but it doesn't get highlighted.
  6. Thanks so much for the info, I just got this ski out of the attic a week or so ago, sure am glad I didn't damage it due to my ignorance. I have a pair of Connelly Eclipse combo skis. They feel like framing lumber compared to the GT-R. The label says 'composite', but nothing about carbon fiber. Wonder if they are as sensitive to UV as the high end slalom models?
  7. boat is stored in a garage, so no long term sun exposure. Only when the boat is in the water. To the point though, the clamps won't do damage to the various curves or laminates?
  8. I have a brand new Connelly GT-R. Can I use clamped board racks to store it? I've already been through a delaminated Carbon V, so I don't want to do anything risky with this ski, but I'm running out of room on the boat. TIA, Bill Montgomery
  9. After 2 seasons, do you use an ankle brace still, or just pretend it was never injured?
  10. Thanks folks, just trying to make friends with my boot!
  11. I am skiing a mini course (green balls). My ski is Connelly Aspect. The other day as I was putting on the ski, I cinched down the lace and for some unknown reason, I gave it an extra tug tightening the lace as much as possible. I always try to cinch it down, but this time I think I might have gotten it too tight. You guessed it! I fell, the boot hung on to my foot and the water jerked the ski. I ended up with a distal fibula fx. Ortho says 4-6 weeks in a boot. Question, is there any real good reason to lace the binding tightly? As I said, I did this almost unthinkingly. Next time out, maybe next season, I won't tighten nearly as much.
