  1. Polk City, right? I'm on IR til June 1st, but only 40 mi north of you. Would happy to come down and ski with you. PM me when you get the course in.
  2. Wow! Looks like this will be an awesome ski lake.
  3. I will be watching. It's early in the season, but I hope we get some decent attempts at a record. Where are Dorian and Tanguy?
  4. Maybe some wakeboarders will be inspired to cross over from the dark side and try slalom skiing.
  5. If it is a Medaliion gateway system, check out the TRD Conversion Kit at skiboatpartsonline.com. Ron Tannis there is very helpful.
  6. Guys, Steve Schnitzer was teaching that 55-1ball technique 30 years ago. (It began with using the gates and 5 ball before we had 55s.)The sight line never changes for line length. Also works for your turn in for the gates. Example, for me, the 1 ball needs to be about the gate's width past the left gate bouy. In both cases the angles are aways the same. Oddly, I got away from this in 2016 and struggled for several years and just went back to it the last week with promising results. As for the wind, my above post works right in. For me it's all about eliminating the variables. Hopefully I'll get back to where I used to be.
  7. Good to see you bring this one back to life. I had Ski Supreme promos in the 80s. My 83 and 84 were great boats. Sharp looking, beautifully appointed, drove well. Best wakes in the business at that time, low, soft, no rooster tail. Downside, tiny trick wake, ha ha. Keep the pics coming.
  8. Someone a log time ago told me not to change my pullout. Change my set up instead. Set up a foot or so toward the wake for headwind, away for downwind.. Worked for me.

A 2006 or 7 with ZO conversion would be just as great.
  10. Back to the Kymaboat. Just wondering what the cost will be to upgrade to the Raptor Ford 6.2L RoushTurbo 575 engine. Imagine that thing in a traditional ski boat. 510 HP, 580 torque.
  11. Mr Obvious here. I think prelims are unnecessary, but slalom finals would be great. Up to you if you want to include trick and jump.
  12. Agree with @eleeski. Those wake line tricks were difficult and fun to watch. They also could do them with 2 skis back in the day too. Very impressive. I think BKistler was pretty good at those too. Just watch the old Ricky McCormick videos. For the future, can't wait til somebody does a toe flip.
  13. The company I had come to respect the the most for answering our needs in a 3 event tow boat recently, Mastercraft, is selling us out for their surf and wakeboard boat business. It's inevitable, we on the serious and recreational slalom side are destined for private ski sites. Just look at the rest of the world.
  14. It's a freedom thing, uniquely American. They are taking it away from us.
