  1. Exactly what I am feeling. Frustrating to get a prop, whack it, and it’s got that noticeable “what’s wrong”. Suppose that’s what I should have expected. The boat is red and white and came out of Texas as well. Got hold of it last year.
  2. I have an old brass 4 blade that came with the boat, I will maybe give that one a try over the upcoming long weekend. What's the thoughts on the CNC re-work and what has made you fellas not a big fan?
  3. Hey Ballers, Texas has not been kind with heat and lack of rain. We are a foot down and suddenly things you would never touch are prepared to create a bad day. I wacked a submerged log, did a number on my Acme prop but was able to get it fixed up and ready for another day. Got the prop re-installed but hearing a difference in the engine. I try to think take pride in my attentiveness to boat and car noise that differs from the normal. The engine sounds different and there appears to be a harder/larger? wake being thrown on typical pass lengths. Not a lot of vibration, where someone jumping into the boat, probably wouldn't notice but it does have a slight buzz at take off speed. Shaft looks straight on inspection by eye with not tilt or favor to one side on entry into the hull, strut, rudder, fins looks straight as well. Should also mention that the RPM rates are the same as they were pre whack and top speeds seem to be the same. Just wanting to get some thoughts before I call out the technician, $100 service call and "Break Out Another Thousand" Best of luck, chase buoys and not stumps, Bird

Any recommendations between the Acme 475 vs 541 props. I’m looking for a new primary for my 1999 MC Sportstar 1:1. When I do the Acme gauges on their website i get between these two. I have seen a lot on the forum regarding the 541 but not much in the 475. Any and all suggestions please! Bird
  5. Hello Ballers, hope everyone is having a safe and pleasant start to the holiday season. I am in the market for a new rig. Currently have been on a 2017 Radar Senate Graphite. It has pushed me into 35’ off @34 mph. I get some course time for about half my season on a public lake behind my family 2018 MC XT-21. In the market for a DD over the next couple years. I’m looking at either the Radar Senate Pro or the Vapor Lithium and was wondering if anyone had some insights given my time is spent behind a less than forgiving V-Drive still. Any other ski options welcome as well! Any feedback or thoughts are appreciated. Bird
  6. What’s is the turn off for those mid 90s MCs? I am honestly indifferent between a mid 90s MC or late 90s early 00s Natique. Have a MC for everything but want a second boat just for skiing. Thanks so much for the reply’s fellas.
  7. Ballers, Used boat shopping(1990s-2003 models) can be stressful and the possibility for stumbling on the proverbial "dud" or black hole boat is always possible. Was curious if anyone has the or has contributed to the de facto used boat buying tips and tricks. What worked for you, what have you learned, etc. Notable questions top of mind include: How many hours is too many hours? Things to look out for in general? Buying from a person or buying from a dealer, does it matter? Should you request boat to have a once over by a dealer? What are some of the no-go items or observations? Engine health, how can you tell besides hours? Hull health, cracks, scratches, bondo, etc. Hull health based on hours? when can a hull be impacted? Does number of owners matter? I am sure there are a million others and tips, tricks, and wizadry that has yielded positive used boat buying experiences. Thanks, C
  8. Thanks Reggie! Will probably start there and demo that baby out. ??
  9. Hello fellow buoy slayers. Just wanted to get the community opinion on my next foray into a ski. I am currently on a 2016 Senate Graphite which has done me well over the years. Current PB is 32’ at 34 mph coming from never running a course until 3 years back. Thank you YouTube. I am looking for the next ski to purchase and am hoping for the opinion of the masses. Senate pro has a lot of good reviews but I see little regarding the lithium vapor. Any thoughts? Should be noted, I am in a crossover water sport family so we have a 2018 MC XT-21. Not the worst wake, but not a pro star or ski Natique. While I love the senate I have always felt it rides very high in the water which may be contributed to the extra width and riding a 67 at 170 lbs. Anyway if you have a moment please share your thoughts :) As always less rope more buoys.
