  1. After 30 years from a couple of nasty out the fronts I still have a head and face scar of a jobe and connelly tip. Those were 2 of 3 concussions I had from skiing…probably needed to be wearing a helmet with a face mask back then.
  2. Really enjoyed seeing these pics! Thanks for sharing!
  3. You can also soak the screws in vinegar overnight.
  4. @Rednucleusyes I believe Bob Lapoint held the world record on the honeycomb for a pretty long time. If my memory serves me correctly that record was something like 3 or 4 at 39 off and held for a couple of years.
  5. Jobe Honeycomb…I liked it better than the Carbon V
  6. Dang, @skialex , you love a good sale!
  7. That was really fun to watch! We still have my wife’s old cdx…that thing is heavy!
  8. To me, one of the big problems when going out the front is hitting your head on the tip of the ski if your ski is flying across the water. I have the tip of a Jobe carved on my forehead and a tip of a connelly beside my left eye, both were concussions and one of them was pretty bad. A helmet with a face guard would have helped me…but I sure wouldn’t want to wear one.
  9. We need a poll: How many concussions have you had while skiing? I have had 3 while slaloming…
  10. Every prostar I have owned has had a disfunctional gas gage. It has caused lots of inconvenience. Crazy that this has been at least a 25 year trend with mastercraft. It just doesn’t seem like rocket science….
  11. We have new laws that just went into effect in July in Tennessee that specifically say wake surfing and wake boarding on public lakes must stay a minimum of 200 feet from shore and not allowed in a cove of 400 ft. width or less. Damage was being caused to docks and erosion of banks. Most people on our public lake think it is a good thing. Skiers and fishermen are happy
  12. @SlalomSteve I ordered both the slasher and hyperfreak from perf ski to decide which one I wanted to keep. I ultimately returned the hyperfreak because the material covering the foam seemed to pick and be less durable than the slasher. I like the slasher vest.
  13. Maybe we should refer to them as boat traitor.com now….
  14. How about the concept of a low handle at the end of the glide to help you set up for a low handle and strong position as you move in to pull position toward the gates?
  15. I LOVE IT….however it is a bit torturous to release this in freekin December….
  16. That is so cool…one good advantage to having a low ceiling! Awesome looking boat!
  17. I agree with what @jjackkrash said if you want to do it right
  18. At one time maybe Jobe Honeycomb or EP Stilleto…or Connelly HP
  19. I have to chime in about the prostar gas gauge problem…it is amazing to me that such a fine ski boat as a mastercraft prostar has such a checkered past having a dependable and accurate way of knowing the fuel level. Every Prostar I have owned (since 91) has had a disfunctional gas gauge. My 2015 stopped working this year. Hopefully the new ones will break the cycle!
  20. @IGski Yes there are cabins. Edgar Evans State park is nice. Also try Lakeside resort about a mile from Hurricane Bridge on Hwy. 56. It is just down from my home. There are more if you want to pm me.
