  1. After 30 years from a couple of nasty out the fronts I still have a head and face scar of a jobe and connelly tip. Those were 2 of 3 concussions I had from skiing…probably needed to be wearing a helmet with a face mask back then.
  2. Really enjoyed seeing these pics! Thanks for sharing!
  3. You can also soak the screws in vinegar overnight.
  4. @Rednucleusyes I believe Bob Lapoint held the world record on the honeycomb for a pretty long time. If my memory serves me correctly that record was something like 3 or 4 at 39 off and held for a couple of years.
  5. Jobe Honeycomb…I liked it better than the Carbon V
  6. Dang, @skialex , you love a good sale!
  7. That was really fun to watch! We still have my wife’s old cdx…that thing is heavy!
  8. To me, one of the big problems when going out the front is hitting your head on the tip of the ski if your ski is flying across the water. I have the tip of a Jobe carved on my forehead and a tip of a connelly beside my left eye, both were concussions and one of them was pretty bad. A helmet with a face guard would have helped me…but I sure wouldn’t want to wear one.
  9. We need a poll: How many concussions have you had while skiing? I have had 3 while slaloming…
  10. Every prostar I have owned has had a disfunctional gas gage. It has caused lots of inconvenience. Crazy that this has been at least a 25 year trend with mastercraft. It just doesn’t seem like rocket science….
  11. We have new laws that just went into effect in July in Tennessee that specifically say wake surfing and wake boarding on public lakes must stay a minimum of 200 feet from shore and not allowed in a cove of 400 ft. width or less. Damage was being caused to docks and erosion of banks. Most people on our public lake think it is a good thing. Skiers and fishermen are happy
  12. @SlalomSteve I ordered both the slasher and hyperfreak from perf ski to decide which one I wanted to keep. I ultimately returned the hyperfreak because the material covering the foam seemed to pick and be less durable than the slasher. I like the slasher vest.
