  1. Been a minute since I have been on the forum. I used it a ton, then we boat the boat and covid etc. We are looking to sell our classic white and black 2020 PS 6.0, Bow, 175hr, trailer, always on lift, 9.5/10 Trying to get a sense of market price. We are based in Canada. We are then going to find an older ski boat as we still love skiing but a shoulder injury is going to limit how far I will be able to take the sport. Please move is this post if it is in the wrong place.
  2. @lakeho26 Just looked at the full size of you image and noticed the name of you boat on the stern :-)
  3. I had heard that a certified driver does not need a spotter in the US but you do need one in Canada. Skiing without a spotter is a criminal offence in Ontario from what I have heard.
  4. Haliburton, ON, Redstone Lake. New-ish to skiing, open water so far as no course on lake. Pre Covid booked 3 lessons with McClintock bu might wait till next season. Shoulder is injured so season has been less than ideal. I do want to get to the course and hope that next year can make that happen.
  5. Thanks @DangerBoy I read the post and I will definitely have a look at this.
  6. Thanks for all the replies and doc recommends. Hoping that I can get the MRI soon but it was just requested two days ago so we will see. Between this and then perforating my ear this ski season has been less than ideal :-)
  7. So in March I injured my shoulder (fall on ice with arm out skating full speed on a lake and hit a air pocket) and due to Covid did not deal with it till now. I think that I have a tear in my supraspinatus and hope to have an MRI scheduled soon-ish. Timing wise this has been hard as we just started getting into water skiing. I have been still able to ski as I'm still learning but cannot push much of that side. I also to triathlon and has stopped my swimming and biking in the aero bars is not good. I'm 53. I have read that surgery right after an acute injury is best but we are way beyond that now. I will be starting physio this monday but wanted to know if other on this forum have has surgery or was physio enough?
  8. @Broussard So it is like a strain gauge and does not affect the length of the rope. Must be cool to see the force that the top guys and gals pull, crazy I'm sure.
  9. @RichardDoane What does the Rope Tension do? I see the cable for camera but no camera.
  10. Another CDN customer here that ordered a rope and a handle with a guard. Brenda was great to deal with. Highly recommend.
  11. @Cnewbert @skimtb Thanks for the input and I think I will just wait till I pull the boat to a station for fill up so probably will be next year. @PeteTag Not at boat and it is undercover at the moment but it is under the menu preferences. Just have a look around and you will find it.
  12. Thinking to start using this feature on our '20, but we are on a lake with no marina so have to jerry can, as others have said I cannot easily fill the tank to full without risk of a spill. Not sure what the steps would be start.
  13. Thanks for the reminder, I'm just starting down this path of skiing and such a simple thing can save your life seems like easy insurance.
  14. I do not have a lot to offer to help but do know that a lot of power lifters, strongmen have torn muscles, they might be a better place to ask for how it heals etc. I would make sure that you take the time to get it healed right and do any PT that is prescribed.
  15. definitely a DD ski boat, you will pop right up and if not you will have a great ski tug...
  16. @o2bnMaine Thanks for taking the the to describe the process, very helpful. I went to a 2 foot start as I could not get a 1 foot starts (started last year). But I had no idea what I was doing with 1 foot, this post has lots of info so I will try again. 2 foot was easier for me as I was able to muscle up as I have the ski for leverage but I had to get in perfect alignment to get it working. Starting this year it was hit or miss, again your post has lots for me to work on.
  17. @o2bnMaine can you explain how you do not go out of position of a 2 foot start? This is my main issue.
  18. This is a very helpful thread as I'm new to skiing and just started deep water starts last year. I could never get the one foot out and have been doing two feet in as it is the only way I was able to get up consistently. The hard part was getting in a stable position from the point you say "yup" and the driver hits it. Going to try some of these tips. Well once the hole in my ear heals but that is another story.
  19. As someone who bought a low hour '20 last fall without knowing about the new model, while I was happy to see the new boat, I was also like, any value that I thought I would have in a short sale is lost and in a big way I think. The plan was not to sell and but I always think about what if scenarios. The one good thing is that the '20 is a bit of a unique boat now. If you for some reason did not like the design of the '21 but wanted the 6.0L, warranty, etc then the '20 is the only MC to fit that. They did not make many of them so there could be a VERY small niche market. Having said that the only reason I think a person would not want the '21 is the bend in the side rail, or the more designed rear seats. It would be all design related.
