  1. I think the manufacturers are more interested in partnering with entities that reach the broader market. By that, I mean people with ski schools.
  2. 8 buoy for sure. First set will confuse the heck out of most people but after that, it’s great.
  3. What distance is appropriate for mini course buoys?
  4. @Wish I’ll refrain from getting political but if you impact an area deemed as a wetland, it’s a nice hefty price tag. If my memory is correct, it’s like the price of a cash prize tournament entry fee for every foot of wetland impacted.
  5. @swbca thanks for sharing. I was fortunate enough to spend 2 months skiing 2-3x a day with Wade back in 2014. The number of times we did the pointing drill still blows my mind ? It was a fun day when we finally moved to free skiing and linking turns together.
  6. For the non-course skier in your life.https://www.the-house.com/hofw65557zz-ho-slalom-waterskis
  7. @UWSkier I have not! Maybe I need to try. If anything, the entire system has taught me patience. I’ve really learned to slow down my finish at the turn because if I finish to fast, I’m left with nothing but slack. This was my first full 35 with stargazer Zbox and I’m really proud of how patient I was out of 1 and 2 ball. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CfX1HnWqPqW/?igshid=ZDU1ZDhlY2E=
  8. @Maxsend if you only use the boat a couple of weeks out of the year, do what @UWSkier is suggesting. It’s easy to knock stargazer with the z box because “it’s not ZO.” I totally get that.I skied only ZO from 2014-2020 and for the last 2 seasons I’ve only been skiing stargazer with Zbox aside from tournaments. Only time I can really feel a difference is 38off. Zbox is just slower to react than ZO at 36mph at that rope length.
  9. Yeah, that’s cool and all but I heard they use 87 octane. For that reason, I am out.
  10. Super solid handle guard! Thanks for rocking one @Horton ???
  11. For those of you on semi-private water within a community that talks, I’ve got two words you need to use on a daily basis...wake enhancers.
  12. /forum#/discussion/25140/so-we-are-building-a-lake/p1
  13. @eyepeeler Table Rock is worth a tow. Definitely recommend Little Cow Creek like @Ski2000 said. If it’s blown out, Big Cow Creek is right next to it and has plenty of room to free ski.
  14. Gone two years next month ? Please use a handle guard.
  15. @lpskier https://www.instagram.com/p/BwvdewphslE/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Fun fact, I drove 6 hours to shoot a magazine cover a few years ago and when I submitted the image of the trick skier without a life jacket, I was told the skier had to be photographed with at least a rash guard ? Did another shoot and got the cover but I was pissed ?
  16. @jhughes @Drago @MISkier If you want to get technical, the correct term for a photograph that has been edited is image. ?
  17. @Keith_Menard Iowa State has a really nice setup with snow skiing nearby.
  18. @LK_skier I have had the same Masterline handle for going on 5 years. I’ve had it restrung twice where my ski wears against it. Overall, really happy. Only thing I’m not happy about is that I bought an identical handle as a back up and I probably haven’t used it more than ten times ?
  19. My first first tournament was in 2004 when I was in the 8th grade. Couldn’t run a single pass in a 3 round tournament. Went home and vowed I would never go to another event. Picked up wakeboarding. Found out about the INT in 2012 and that’s what got me hooked. Got to ride my ski and my wakeboard. 2013, the INT didn’t exist in Missouri and by that time, I was all in on skiing. Skied my second USA waterski event and haven’t looked back. So what changed everything? I learned how to kind of control my nerves with humor and talking! Y’all better lighten up on the starting dock ?
  20. @horton I thought we left that kind of thinking on ski fly ???
  21. Coming back to this thread to just update my experience with the switch. Overall, it’s been a super positive experience. I don’t feel like I’ve lost any connection to my ski. Tied my tournament pb this past weekend and I know I have more in the tank. Just need more time on the water. The other positive is no busted shins this year! Negatives I can think of, the fear of busting a bungee at a bad time. I did order some replacement parts for that reason.
  22. Visit the on site john. Absolutely essential to running my opener.
  23. As a fellow LFF, I’ve been studying Brooke. Setup in the pre turn is amazing.
