  1. I'm not totally set on buying from Action, but if that works out, great. They actually had a clearance 2018 65-inch Katana for $450...so I'm still considering that, too. https://www.wakehouse.com/products/radar-katana-waterski-w-vector-rtp-2018.html Thanks for sending all of those links, @escmanaze! I'll check them out tonight and think about it. I'm anxious to get the ski so I can start using it before summer is over!:
  2. @escmanaze thanks! Just got the boat this summer and we’re loving it. Went to Action Water Sports today and they didn’t have the 65 Union in stock, but he thought the 65 Senate Alloy would be a good fit. Do you think it’s too aggressive for me?
  3. Below is a link to me skiing, as well as my brother. We’re both using the Jobe now. I’d be pretty happy if I could ski like him (minus having the slack in the rope at the end of his turn, any advice there would be appreciated!). Excuse my bobble at the start, and as you can see, I’m still a bit intimidated by the wake and cutting across. Eeek, got some work to do! https://vimeo.com/353052449 https://vimeo.com/353052545
  4. I’ve been skiing on my dad’s old Jobe honeycomb world record breaker ski (65 inch) for the last couple of years but am thinking it's time for a modern ski. I’m 5’4 and a beginner/intermediate slalom skier, not skiing a course. I don’t feel like I need a women’s specific ski, as it would be nice for my brother and guests to use it too. Right now the ski has a RTP but I’m thinking a rear boot might be a good idea? If you could point me in the right direction, I’d very much appreciate it. Thanks!
  5. @Nautibynature weird, here's a new link. $13,800 https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/boa/d/zeeland-mastercraft-prostar-19-boat-190/6879210732.html
  6. @Golfguy @RichardDoane @MDB1056 thanks for the heads up on price, since this is our first ski boat we're not entirely sure what's fair pricing. what do you think a solid offer would be?
  7. Thanks for all the feedback, super helpful. The comments about parts for the lt1 are concerning, so we'll consider that too.
  8. I posted awhile ago about our search for a ski boat and we're interested in a 1995 MC that has about 900 hours on. Does that seem high, or about average? And if it's high, is it a reason to walk away? It looks super clean and well taken care of, so that's really the only drawback we've found. Edited to add listing: https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/boa/d/zeeland-mastercraft-prostar-19-boat-190/6821030159.html
  9. @foxriverat thank you! I like both of those. Do you think you need to spend $10-12K to get a decent boat? I see some that are $6K and the savings sounds nice but I know EFI engine would be ideal and I worry about an older boat having issues. Here's one I found: https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/boa/d/midland-1984-mastercraft-stars-and/6838628739.html
  10. @keithh2oskier thanks for sharing! love that picture. i definitely like the look of that boat and will consider it. @BraceMaker and @vtjc would this MC have the issues you're mentioning? we'll be skiing an inland lake. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1336907656451249/?surface=product_details this is so much information and all very helpful! thanks to everyone who's sharing. i'm a bit overwhelmed but i think it'll help us find the right boat.
  11. @PurdueSkier thank you! not far away at all, I will take a look.
  12. IDK why I didn't think of FB marketplace, but I found a couple of MC on there. I don't want/need the tower, so that's a drawback to one of them. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1336907656451249/?surface=product_details https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2158184051158383/?surface=product_details
  13. @LoopSki I found this 97 SN, is there much difference between 97 & 98? https://www.onlyinboards.com/1997-Ski-Nautique-for-sale-Stow-Ohio-94715.aspx
  14. @teammalibu I don't ski the course and also don't feel like I need an open bow. We'd probably have 4-5 people in the boat. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
  15. We've finally decided to upgrade from our 1993 Four Winns to a ski boat. We'd like to stay around the 8-12K price range and are hoping to get something from the early 90s. I found these three boats that fit that criteria, but am hoping to get some feedback on them from people who are more familiar with ski boats. We're strong slalom skiers and I'm assuming any of them will be an upgrade from what we have now. It would also be helpful to know what questions we should be asking the sellers. I know my husband would prefer a boat with the LT1 Corvette engine, but I haven't found many locally (southeast Michigan) with those.
