  1. I am aware of the law, but have yet to hook up the lanyard.. Need to work on that....
  2. Those are great, and so many of them have been me. Especially seeing a lake and then pulling out my phone to check the length on Google.

    Prop Pick

I ran a 541 on my 94PS205 and it improved everything on that boat, but maybe the hardness of the wake. Depends on who you asked. I loved it.
  4. @epnault sorry for late response. Yes, just got slightly longer screws and used same holes with a gasket that can handle heat. I used a hack saw to cut mine since I don’t own a band saw. I got the stock tips through Bruce at Action and were about $600 all in. If I’m gonna do it, it’s gonna be perfect. Nothing but the best for The Beast. ??
  5. I’ll be about 1 hour from there on Sunday visiting from Ohio. Maybe I can convince my son to go.
  6. I like my music on my boat, but mainly cruising. For slalom skiing I feel the same as music on a golf course, not appropriate.

  8. Late to the game but great work . You inspire me.
  9. World Barefoot Center with great friends.
  10. Bump! Both still available. The 1171 for a limited time.
  11. New Acme 1171 - 13 x 13 3-Blade https://teamtalk.mastercraft.com/showthread.php?p=1586031#post1586031 Used OJ 13 x 12 3-Blade https://teamtalk.mastercraft.com/showthread.php?t=109158
  12. In the process of testing to get that perfect performance so just ordered a Acme 1253 and Acme 1171 for testing. I dont have the pure ski boat so I know it wont be up to pure standards, but I need to find that sweet spot. The 2008 214/X14 with MCX and 1:1 came with a 13 dia x 11 pitch 3-blade. My 2008 X14 with LY6 and 1:1.22 came with a 13 dia x 12 pitch 3 blade. It required 4200 rpm to run at 35 mph so I figured it was the wrong prop. Saw a post on Teamtalk where someone tested 4 props on the same drive train and he recommended an Acme 1281, 13.25 dia x 15 pitch. So this prop gets me where the RPM's should be (3600 RPM @ 35MPH) but the main consensus is it seems to struggle on the hole shot. And I can feel the difference when compared to pure ski boats, and my buddies 08 214 with MCX and 1:1. I just ran a borrowed OJ 13 dia x 14.5 4-blade and things varied a little bit but the wave seemed big. So the new ACME 1253 (13x14) and an ACME 1171 (13x13) will help me figure out the best overall depending on pitch. On a side note, I have been running the 1281 for two years and have asked OJ, Acme and Nettle over a year ago, the best prop, and they seem to be as confused as MC, and say the 1281 should be the best prop... We will see..
  13. @duffbeerisgood The noticeable difference, in my limited opinion, is the 214 wake is wider, since it's a wider boat compared to the 206.
  14. I love my X14 (214) but I gave up one of the best wakes in my 94 ProStar 205 and I know it. My X14 (LY6 and 1:1.22) has some weight compared to a 214 (MCX and 1:1) and I feel it in the wake. A load in the boat or a full tank will also affect wake but I also think its the position of the weight in the boat and I have yet to find that sweet spot. A great skier can ski anything and once you get to 28 off, its totally different than 15 or 22 off. My brother has a 2004 Ski Nautique 206 SE so I can easily compare the two. The 206 has less space than the 214 but a bit more than my 205. I don't like the netting on the sides of the 206 compared to the pockets in the 205. The 214 has more storage space than all of them unless you have hard ballast tanks like mine, but my X14 has ample space. My 2 cents... 15. And Sammy Duval is on site!! Very cool.
  16. Terrible crash by Whitney McClintock Rini on her run. Hope she is okay. Pretty crazy fall and disorientation afterwards.
  17. @Horton I think we are going to agree to disagree on the designator color, this time ;) . If they offered a blue designator then that would be the choice, but I would have chosen white over the black. @DoubleD Your letters are the wrong color. The letters ALWAYS need to be a strong contrast with the gel color
  18. I owned a 1994 ProStar 205 from 2001 to 2018. I added many things to it over the years to make it mine, including an ugly MT. (budget constraints at the time). I sold it to a decent kid up in Illinois and I feel it's being taken care of, but I did get one picture of it when he posted online, and I was quite displeased with the cleanliness of the hull. Not sure how it looks today...
  19. Standard Prostar with a graphics/seadeck package?
  20. @Horton, you done good man!! I designed this boat for fun back in mid February. Great minds, great minds...
  21. I did something similar as the OP but spent a bit more doe to make it look stock. I have a 2008 MasterCraft ProStar X14 with the LY6 400 Hundo HP engine and it came with no cats in the manifolds and no mufflers. Seeing the brand new ProStars come with turn down tips, I researched the flange diameter and hole locations and found they an exact match to what I have. So instead of pulling the old tips, I modified the new tips and mounted them to the existing, and no digging into the boat. I does seem quieter from the drivers seat but have yet to ski it.. />
