  1. It does not appear that I can move the footbed on the plate. But on further inspection, I think the plate is just plastic, should be easy to trim the front tabs and move it up. thanks for the input.
  2. I am changing from an old Vector binding to the new Vapor boot. Due to the different shape of the plate, I can't get my RTP as close to the back of the new boot as it used to be. With the front boot in the stock location, the RTP is maybe 3/8" further back. I gather that the most important thing is front boot location. How important is the reltaive position of the toe loop? I could probably take out the dremmel and modify the plate to get it closer, but I'd rather not. Thanks.
  3. In my quest to become the best boat driver I can be, I’m wondering if there is video out there if top boat drivers from their perspective? I’m curious to compare their inputs to what I feel I am doing. I haven’t been able find this in my searches. Thanks.
  4. That's a lot of praise for the C85. Anyone skiing 34mph max on that ski? Is it meant for 36?
  5. This doesn’t make sense to me. If the wake at 22off is better with the microtuners set to the 28off position, why wouldn’t nautique be using that configuration in their matrix?
  6. Is the Tige approved to pull tournaments?
  7. I'm roughly where you are; congrats on getting there in 10 months! I agree with those who say that the geometry is totally different at 22 off; I think I'm making enough speed into centerline but the feel and timing is so different. I think that's where my practice efforts need to be focused going forward; I may throw out 15 off for the rest of the season . Keep at it, best of luck to you!
  8. I can remember the crashes from the first time I tried 36mph, the first time I tried 22 off, and the really odd crash on my gate pullout that sent me to the ER. There are so many more I don’t remember. OTF was my signature move for a while.
  9. For us, the tube is a gateway to skiing. It's the first thing my son was comfortable enough getting on behind the boat. A year later he is on the ski trainer and he tried combo skis on the boom for the first time. That didn't go so well, but we're taking baby steps in the right direction. I just want to encourage the kids to enjoy their time on the water and try new things.
  10. I’ve always enjoyed p90X or X3 over the winter. Lots of pushups/pull-ups, yoga & core.
  11. I'm sure I make exactly the mistake he's talking about. That's really great advice, can't wait to work on that in the spring.
  12. Hi folks, Hoping some of you can can help me understand the timing of my setup for the gates. For a skier at 15 off, as the boat speed increases (in this case lets say from 30 to 32mph) should my pull out for the gates be earlier or later? Since the pull out sets your timing for the turn in, is that turn towards the gates happening earlier or later? I'm going in circles about this because the faster boat speed would make me think you pull out earlier, but you carry more speed across the course, so maybe it's later. Or maybe that all evens out and you turn at the same time? Thanks ballers!
  13. @Horton Agreed on the Explorer. We tow our 196 with the Explorer, and it does just fine. But wit the family and all of our gear, we run out of space on a weekend getaway; even with a cargo bag on the roof.
  14. This kept me and the kids busy for half a day. I’m digging this color scheme.
  15. I just ordered a new Senate from them. Great service! Can't wait to get it out on the water.
