  1. Dodd's second jump - had some major rollers on his cut into the jump, smart to pass, but poor conditions probably cost him the jump title....and Dano's announcing is obnoxious!
  2. OK - this is not political, it's fact. CDC will be announcing a no-mask policy for vaccinated individuals. This applies to indoors and outdoors. Seems like the "guidelines" as stated above can be relaxed.
  3. Nuances of placement and coordination of bimini-mirror aside, this looks legit! OK Horton, let's see you on video at 35 using this!!
  4. Even in Sweden you can get on the water now - very odd there is no video or concrete feedback about this.
  5. Must be guidelines by Fauci - never fear though, he'll change them many times before the event.
  6. This thread is hard to read. All I can think is how water skiing is slowly dying and it won't take much more to finish it for good. Happy that I was able to participate during the peak and the lifelong friends I've made in the process. No offense to this forum, but it's not productive.
  7. One of the greats - he pulled me on my first and only ride at Radar Lake.
  8. Yes, would love to see a video of this system in an actual course to see how accurate it is - previously mentioned by another baller. Seems odd nothing has been posted yet?????
  9. Water skiing is/was a boomer sport. The youngest boomer is now 55. The only possible way that water skiing comes back in a big way is if the millennial generation takes it up in droves - don't see this happening. Just enjoy it if you still participate - recreation or tournaments - doesn't really matter - do it for your personal enjoyment. Talking about how to bring the sport back is as productive as trying to get it into the Olympics.
  10. Bottom line is IWWF is going to continue to sell out the skiers for $$$, why, because they can. If there were more high profile events with a purse, skiers could boycott. Unfortunately, there are very few events they can participate in that would offer a purse or incentives from sponsors. Just a fact.
  11. Does the new ski need one of the custom 3rd party fins or is it good to go stock?
  12. Can't wait to see what Adam Caldwell will do in the Big Dawg this year!
  13. @Horton Considering your 1 ball wasn't that great, a pretty easy pass. You should be knocking down 39 on that bad boy!
  14. The economies of scale to manufacture 3-event specific towboats have long passed. I'd be surprised if more than 500 3-event units are sold per year by the three majors combined. It's just another "sign-of-the-times" for continued decline of a great sport and activity.
  15. Rabbit for sure. Arrives Friday on crutches after a huge fall Wednesday. Takes one jump Saturday to make the finals then on Sunday crushes the rest of the field. Huge heart - can't teach or train that - you either have it our you don't.
  16. For what's supposedly the most prestigious water ski event in the world, you'd think they could find a better announcer and host a webcast that doesn't continually freeze up.
  17. Dodd will be tough to beat - he's in another league.
  18. Watch for Pigozzi at the Masters - while Nate is undoubtedly the lightest and most efficient on the line, Pigozzi has unbelievable power. He was top seed going into the finals last year.
  19. He's still on the list of Masters mens skiers - perhaps Nautique is hoping his suspension gets lifted. It would be nice to see Howley, Pigozzi or Travers on the list. Should be a great event!
  20. With Nate out, will anyone dominate or will it be a more balanced podium this year?
  21. Don't know if it's the ski, fin, skier or all three, but I've never seen a ski tip stay down and hold so much angle at the finish of the turn through the wakes.
