  1. I am going to Austin, TX for the weekend. I have to fly and do not have my travel case on me, so I will not be able to bring my water ski. Are there any lakes in the area where I can ski and have a good waterski to borrow?
  2. Hi all! So I'm trying to buy a ski handle, but not sure how to evaluate which handle is best for me. What are some tips in purchasing a great ski handle and some good brands/websites to look in to? What is a good diameter and size? Thank you!
  3. 69 degrees on Monday.... and just getting colder :(
  4. @jpattigr Great recommendation! Have you tried any other short wetsuit brands? I have been looking into Billabong, Ripcurl, and O'neill.
  5. @buski @Chef23 @blagrata Thank you!!! I’ll look into those!
  6. Hi all! It’s finally off-season and for the fall, I am looking into getting either a springsuit or a long sleeve wetsuit jacket. What are everyone’s preferences? What should I get for cold temperatures ranging from 60 to 70°? What are some good brands? Hope everyone is swerving into off season!
  7. @Bill22 I chose the 2019 radar graphite lyric and I am in LOVE with it!
  8. I tend to hold the rope between my fingers and palms. I have callouses on my palms, but as the season has progressed, my hands hurt less and less. Holding near the bottom of my fingers has allowed me to go longer with less tension in my hands while skiing.
  9. Thank you so much for the recommendation @Joelh! I will look into the connelly carbon v.
  10. @oldjeep I think that a lighter ski provides the skier with more control when on the course as well as when you are free skiing.
  11. Okay @BraceMaker. I prefer softshell bindings over hardshell.
  12. Sweet! @scotchipman . I'll look into it.
  13. @Shell do you have any thoughts on the skill level and strength of Radar's Lyric?
  14. @scotchipman Awesome advice. When you say a little heavier, is it still on the lighter side? I do not know much about the Senate, but many peeps have been recommending it. I am pretty solid at getting up, so I am not too concerned about not being able to. I'm sorry to hear about your Omni Syndicate. That really stinks.
  15. @scotchipman good to know. I highly doubt I'll make it to 35' off in the next few years, so the Omni series may be the one for me. Have you heard anything about the Carbon Omni. Or the Radar Senate?
  16. Thank you @Chef23 . I have been looking at the Carbon Omni since it came out, and it seems to have great reviews.
  17. @Chef23 When you are referencing the Omni, are you referring to the Omni, Carbon Omni or the Syndicate Omni?
  18. @kylegansel I actually have seen this post before. I love this ski, but I would need a 65".
  19. @kylegansel Okay! Thank you! The new Concept is a perfect open water performance ski, especially it being my first ski. I learned a lot from it, but I am ready for a change in skill level.
  20. @kylegansel Thank you again! I have a 65" 2018 Connelly Concept Impulse Series that I got last year and need a major upgrade. I have ridden a 2016 Syndicate and fell in love with it; I tested it on open water, not a course. The Carbon Omni is intriguing, but I'm thinking I may need a more challenging ski.
  21. Thank you @kylegansel ! Any thoughts on the carbon omni? It's a bit more affordable, but wasn't sure how well it could handle a course.
  22. @Bill22 So I have heard! I'm excited to see what is revealed.
  23. @oldjeep sweet! Do you know how well the Senate/Lyric performs in a course, in comparison to the Vapor?
  24. @Jetsetr is there a Radar Senate that would fit the criteria for open water as well as future competitive course skiing?
