  1. Such an amazing athlete. Wakeboarding, surfing, skiing... pretty much any watersport, plus he competes in American Ninja Warrior, all at 42. Seems like a genuinely good person too.
  2. @MISkier Do you know if they do any ski lessons there? I thought I saw somewhere that Silver Lake Ski Club skis out of there as well? I'm nowhere near good enough to ski a tournament. I haven't even skied a course before, but I really want to try it sometime.
  3. This was about 30 minutes north of my house and I ended up attending with my girlfriend. This was the first ski event I have ever been to and I will now be attending any other upcoming events that are within reasonable driving distance. Everybody there was so friendly and seeing people ski at that high of a skill level in person is simply amazing! I'd love to be able to ski there sometime as well. Beautiful facility!
  4. My single owner/family 1986 Ski Centurion TruTrac. This was my parents boat that has now been handed down to me. I learned to ski behind this boat when I was 4 and countless good times have been had on it. I doubt I'll ever get rid of it!
  5. @skigirl00 I got a Carbon Omni this year and I love it. I would say I'm in a similar boat as you. I mostly open water ski and rarely hit the course. The ski is really stable, lightweight, and the carbon makes it stiff enough to handle the course pretty comfortably and accelerates great. Also, if you haven't already, read @Horton review of the Syndicate Omni if you want a ski that's geared a little more towards the course and you can afford the higher price point.
  6. @Woody74 I have double Animal 10-11 bindings on mine.
  7. @Woody74 , I just got my Carbon Omni a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I, like you, are just getting back into waterskiing after a few years. I ride on a public lake and haven't worked my way up to a course yet, but I'd like to in the future. I ski at 15 off and 34mph. The ski is firm enough to give me the performance and growing room for when my skills develop, but it's still a great freeride ski. Hope this helps!
