  1. @VONMAN what fin originally came with it? And what was the difference in going to the CG?
  2. So you have me thinking again about this..... and this would be into the season as well, not just the start. Start out at usual line, speed, etc.. Maybe stay there or go to the next line. Feels pretty good...work on your harder passes. And I like to do this before getting "tired" from repeated earlier passes. On those days it feels good....work on the harder passes. My thinking is if the openers feel good, possibly I'm skiing correctly or will have a better shot at learning my harder ones. And on those days where nothing feels right.. work on technique or pick some other area that needs work. Thoughts? Some days maybe good.. some days maybe crap!
  3. Again I say.... @Shell......spoiled
  4. @Horton no your method definitely doesn't sound like it sucks all the fun out, I'm getting to ski no matter the rope length. It does make sense and lessens your chances of skiing incorrectly. It has clearly worked for you and your skiing looks really good. My goal obviously is to run as many buoys as possible, especially 38. I usually stay at my opener pass until it does feel pretty easy and I'm not making a bunch of mistakes. For some reason, and I'm not complaining, I can smooth out my 32 a whole lot better and usually work there. Love hearing how everyone gets back into their season. Come on summer!!!!!
  5. Hard to believe she's not getting more attention to her incredible achievements and one of the great one's retiring from the sport. How awesome it was watching her jump 201! Congrats again Jacinta and wish you the best in your retirement. The sport will miss you.
  6. Usually slow the boat down to 33.5 and work on opener. Not really trying to run buoys but more to establish a rhythm and wake up the ski muscles. Depending on how the sets feel I will cut to 32. By several sets in, again depending on how everything feels, may up the boat speed but will stay at 28 and 32 mostly and end with a 35 to see how that feels. Works for me but I'm always open to suggestions...
  7. And he's a super nice guy. Wish him the best of luck in the coming years. I believe we will see alot more out of him.
  8. Going to Swiss this Thur-Sun. Any ballers going to be down? Looking to put some faces to names.
  9. I'll give my 2 cents worth. Tried a 95 at the end of the year and really liked it. Riding a demo one now, a little stiffer, and really like it. Just got back from FL and managed to run into 35. Didn't think that would be possible this early in the year especially after not skiing since mid November. The ski is very stable, fast and I feel will reward you if you are patient on it. Probably not explaining this correctly but just some things I feel on it. A crazy note.... I was told Caldwell, Austin Able and another skier in between their sizes all experimented with the same fin numbers... and skied great.
  10. @Drago I get it. Just being funny but..... put all these ballers together on a live forum for the first and it could get entertaining.
  11. Since we're on this topic I'll give my side of what I've done. Always skied double boots- Reflex front, Radar rear. 34 mph- deep 35-to mid 38 on a good day. Tried switching several times over the years with absolutely 0 results. Always struggled to get up with a RTP and if I did, running a pass was out of the question. Absolutely could not turn the ski. I tried the R style and a semi modified RTP but could not make it work. Always went back to the Radar rear. Still not wanting to give up on the RTP another buddy had made the transition from double boots using the Reflex RTP with the buckles. I tried one and it felt pretty solid, like my foot was "locked" in. It took several sets but I have been able to run passes and even into 35. My confidence is getting better and I'm hoping I can stay on it. At this point I don't see why I can't. Now just waiting on warm weather and the rewards of skiing a RTP!!
  12. This would be a great time to resurrect the Optimal Binding Ski Boot thread... @Horton?
  13. My question is.. Is he still training at Rinis since they are all Nautique? Or will he be able to bring his Master Craft there to train?
  14. I would suggest something more along the lines of a 12 ga with steel shot.
  15. @The_MS that's what's crazy is it feels dialed in already. I'm sure it could use a few tweaks but man it feels good
  16. Follow up... 3rd and 4th set today. Switched to a RTP. Why not? I've always wanted to try and go to one, and its the end of the season.... sooo..... All previous attempts with a RTP were a shit show in a dumpster. First set not too bad... ran a couple 28's after struggling to adjust. Very ugly. Ski still feels amazing.... incredible acceleration, and holy crap does this thing turn!! ... and slows down incredibly well coming into the turn. How? This thing could have some magic sprinkled in it. 2nd set... almost ran my 35's and should have. (4@35 and 5@35) On a RTP! Which has always felt like absolute crap any other time I have tried one. This ski does have some width to it, need to measure it out and see. Absolutely incredible ski. Maybe the builders can chime in on some tech geeky info on why it's so good? @AdamCord @adamhcaldwell Just some thoughts on this ski from an average joe... Try one.. you won't be disappointed
  17. Got to demo one Sunday. Mid 38 skier at best at 34 mph. 28-35 felt really good first time on it. Didn't think I would try 38 but it felt good enough to give it a shot... Awesome 1 ball turn! Just fell apart after that. Very good and definitely believe I could run some buoys on it. I would have no problem using it in a tournament if we had any more left as is. Ran some nice 35s that I just overdid a little. Seems like if you don't put to much input into it, it will perform pretty well. Turns on a dime and didn't get stuck behind me. Had a couple of the best 1 ball turns at 38 I've ever felt. This ski rocks! Good job again Adams
  18. Thx for posting @The_MS. Also good seeing you this weekend. Miss you on the scene
  19. @Horton to what do you credit not having a prerelease to? Just curious as I personally have not had one either...(knocks on wood). But I have seen others have one for unknown reasons, and they do take care of their equipment and check it regularly. Hope we're not jinxing ourselves by discussing this. Ski well!!
