  1. StarBright makes a non skid deck cleaner and a wax works good for me
  2. We really enjoyed watching you guys windsurf. Glad we could use the course! Least we could do! Thanks
  3. Thanks, they were my first Call! That’s where I bought mine!
  4. Searching for a prostar Bow cover 2014-2020, preferably white with grey sea deck. I know I can order one but would rather buy used or blemished. Thanks in advance. P.M me if you can help
  5. After the input everyone gave, I did a small test to see if I could tell a difference. One buoy half filled with water half with air and a small weight About 5/8ths underwater. One buoy Not fully inflated with enough weight to get it about 5/8ths underwater. Both with close to the same firmness on top of the buoy. First I noticed the half and half buoy displaces much easier than the air filled Second thing I noticed the half and half bouy was much more stable in the water with wave action and when being push on. Next going to order a Wally buoy to give that a try. Thanks for everyone’s input.
  6. For those of you that fill half with water, how do you go about that. I Just tried it with a transfer pump and it was a pain?
  7. When half filled, is a counterweight still required? Or does that take care of it?
  8. How or what Is everyone using to get their turn Bouys the right height with a floating course? How much weight does it take? Anything cheap and readily available? I started filling solo cups with concrete and an eyelet but seems it will take about 3 per turn bouy to get the right height even with the Bouys deflated a bit. Thanks in advance for the input
  9. Great explanation of theory. Anyone have any video of a good driver and there wheel movements? Not planning to imitate (I like the drive the skier idea) but nice to see the good guys in action as a visual explanation.
  10. If we(3e skiers) as group decide we don’t want continued innovation and quality with 3 event boats, then yes get rid of awsa testing, get rid of the 3 year old boat rule, and in turn we’ll lose the only reason for the big three to continue to bring out new models. As @Chad_Scott put it we are lucky the big 3 see the value still in putting the RD And cost involved. For promo paradigm , at anytime has any manufacture tried higher hours and longer length of time for having a boat? Instead of getting a new boat every year, make it so you get a boat every other year or every third year (time a boat can be used in tournaments)? Still have one promo per dealer per year. That would allow 3 people to be part of the promo program and if managed correctly, could be in the right areas to help out with drive distances and availability. Also this could help with the amount of 50hr Promo boats for sale and buyers questioning if it makes sense to buy slightly used or just buy new due to the high price! Closing statement! DeRegulate in order make it easier and more accessible for more people and companies to be involved but don’t get rid of the few reason We have for the big three to continue to build us new awesome boats!
  11. Portage lakes Ohio! Water 39F air 55 F and sunny!
  12. Or this design from ZF, designed for inboards. Haven’t seen any new news since debuted in 2017 tho
  13. @Horton that makes sense and understood. Would a smaller wetted surface area of a 176 or similar weight ratio to wetted surface area boat, make it feasible for an electric drive unit to be efficient enough due to the lessened load on the drive unit to work? Or is the added weight to a smaller wetted surface area boat going to cause as much drag/load as a similarly weighted larger wetted surface area boat? Understanding of course that the wake might not be optimal due the boat being designed with a different weight in mind.
  14. I guess my comment above was slightly off topic but maybe starting with a 176 or similar weighted hull would be a good starting point!
  15. Could the added weight of the battery’s be compensated with a lighter weight hull design? Such as the 176 at 2250lbs manufacturer’s weight rating of course but still lighter then current slalom boats. I understand current hulls are constructed differently with liners and different stringer designs but could a slalom tug be built lighter at today standards to compensate for the electric drive unit, including the battery, control, inverter electric motor.
  16. Did you say margarita?!!!!! Thanks I’ll be in touch!
  17. Traveling to North Houston Texas more specifically the woodlands Jan 17th-20th. Putting the feelers out to see if they are any ski sites nearby willing to give a pull or two. Willing to pay. A bit last minute but any help or direction is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  18. @Horton @mmskiboat, Thanks we barefoot often a little extra speed is always fun!!! Makes me want upgrade or just engine swap!
  19. Anyone know the top speed for 6.0l prostar? I know my 5.7 is around 42/43.
  20. Did you install before or after the strainer?
  21. For a winter project id like to install an engine flush valve in my 2018 prostar 5.7, so im looking for pics of a factory engine flush valve location and type of valve the factory uses. I have searched a bit and found a perko brand valve and some brass shutoff type valves that would work. Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks for the help!!
  22. @Horton, can you explain a bit on where to find the fuel management system? I have an 18 and have not seen in the manual or on any of the screens an option for this. Do you need a dealer code?
