Thanks @SkiRV you inspired me. I had to use what was available at the local hardware but I am pleased with the results.

I chased buoys for a few years in the late 90's to early 2000's and then life got in the way. In Jan 2017 I ran the Disney marathon and decided that I wanted to ski while I was there. Did a quick search and found Thomas on Facebook. I had no idea who he was. Seamed to be a regular guy who loved water skiing. It was awesome to find out later that this humble guy was such an elite skier. I am happy to be back chasing buoys again. You should definitely hit him up on Facebook or Instagram.

My story is a lot like buechsr. I tried to ski the course a few times every summer since the mid 90's. But started chasing buoy's a few times a week last year and I am now running 22off@34MPH about 50% of the time. I am skiing on an early 2000's HO Phantom. I still believe I can improve on my current ski but I have been wondering if a new ski will get me a better buoy count? And if so what ski would be best? I am in South Carolina so trying to demo a ski in a wet suit and cold water would not allow me to compare performance to what I am on now.

You can get on the FedEx website and have it sent to your local Walgreens. They will store it there until you can get it. Of course you will need your ID.

Could someone answer @jcamps question? I am wondering the same thing. Would love for someone to build a ski lake/pond in South Carolina and sell lots.
