  1. My 2017 TX and my "new" 2017 VTR. Found it on sale for 670 brand new with free shipping so I decided to try it. Still need to get used to it but I like it so far.
  2. My buddy brought his drone out yesterday and we got some awesome footage. Definitely cool getting a.different view.
  3. What if you ran the tape across the ski vs from front to back
  4. yeah I have no trouble putting on a double binding on mine (pictured earlier). I can also just sit right down on the rear corner of the hull while i tighten the laces, then slide off into the water.
  5. @Wish here's a few more pics. The platform works very well and my ski is a 69 inch HO TX so it's large. I also really like the seating layout as well. Easily will seat 5, and I'm sure I could fit 7 no problem. Also the storage in the bow is endless. I could sleep up there it's so big.
  6. As long as the steering setup is solid (hydraulic) it should track well. The lower unit on an outboard is at least the size of a rudder. Also for outboard swim platforms my centurion is perfect for an outboard. I have no trouble with my double bindings, and the surface is almost even with the water
  7. Mercury just released a 300 hp v8 outboard that weighs only 505 lbs. That would work well. I would think 300 would be plenty. My 94 ski centurion has 200 and it has tons of power. I don't have a picture but the swim platform setup on those is great for an outboard. The side platforms are angled to allow me to stand and put on my ski, and use the rope gaurd as a handle. Plus the boat has a jackplate allowing me to walk from side to side in front of the engine.
  8. 2016 f250 with a 6.7 Powerstroke to haul my new to me ski centurion barefoot warrior. Definitely overkill but it gets unreal mpg towing it and I barely can tlel it's there.. Got over 18 mpg towing it home across the state
  9. My family has a cottage on crystal lake in Frankfort MI. I know the past few years there is a couple courses on the lake. I was hoping to run them later this summer when I'm up there. Also there was a course on Murray lake in Lowell MI the past few years as well
  10. First time was March 26 this year. Winter came back but now I've been out every few days. Looks like spring I here for real now
  11. I can deal with the cold, considering I skied today with ice on my pond when I got up lol. It's just not easy to get more work off. I'm already taking time off for thanksgiving because we have family coming in. That boat does look really nice though. And so does that 96 supra in Detroit area.
  12. Yep I'm about 30 minutes north east of Grand Rapids. Thanks for all the links. Unfortunately the colder weather along with being super busy with work has kept me from looking very much recently.
  13. Just got out old outboard back up and running. We winterized the usual boat because of sub freezing nights. Air was 42, water was under 50. The only part of me that was uncomfortable was my face and ears.
  14. I have been looking at some of the reviews in the older Water ski magazines that i can fine online. Not sure if I said this before but during the test drive I actually skid behind the master craft and it was great, especially coming from a big I/O. I was barely able to put my ski on (double bindings) but it was ok, even with no soap. In my search i have skid behind an 86 ski supreme, and a Baja sk190. the MC was the best, and my dad said he felt it had the best tracking of all 3 surprisingly. I probably would have bought it but the shifting into reverse was very ratchety, and it looked like it had a had a history of fuel contamination from the receipts. @Bdecker do you know if that supra has EFI? I read that they went to fiberglass in 94, and the ones with a rounded windshield like that had fiberglass. I really love outboards so I am leaning toward the MC, and I also and found a clean looking 94 centurion barefoot with a merc 200 efi and power steering somewhat nearby as well. I would like to have a boat by spring but with the recent weather, most sellers have winterized and I wouldn't be able to test drive.
