    PCM 6.0 oil

PCM Service Bulletin from July 2019. This is a change for 6.0L, 6.0L HO, 7.4L SLX, 6.2 L Supercharged, 5.3 DI and 6.2 DI engines. Dexos Gen 2 5W-30 All Temperatures.
  2. Our local ski club does dock/lift removals and installs in NE Wisconsin as a fundraiser. We'll do around 160 units this fall so I have a lot, too much, experience with this. If you're a gambling person and the loss of either or both your lift and dock is not a big deal then leave them in. We have customers who should remove, don't, and have been lucky for years. But it only takes that one breakup with the right wind conditions to take out everything. The power of moving ice, even if it is just barely moving, is staggering. It will bend aluminum like it isn't there and the same goes for steel. As others have mentioned, a wheel kit can be a real back saver.
  3. BraceMaker, Scott Ellis was a major driver for Ski Flying at it's inception. There were some immediate problems as some sites could not accommodate the wider widths and longer outruns. Scott had plans for modifications for existing jumps if my memory serves me correctly. One of the big advantages was, and again this is just from memory, was the angle was reduced for the ski fly ramp vs the traditional at 6'. Much easier on the knees. It was an interesting experiment and I believe they even did it at the Masters one year. All I can say is just because you can doesn't mean you should. The falls in Open division jumping are vicious. Add speed, add height, 90" skis, thin margins for error. Late cut, wind gust, any one of a million variables and big injuries can happen. My personal opinion is I just don't see the need.
  4. How about we not do this. Boats and ramps could be built but at 45mph, 90' spectra ropes and massive cuts the falls will be horrendous. I love jumping, can't do it anymore given my back and knees, but like slalom the thrill is in the competition and not necessarily in the distance or buoy count. If you don't get a chill seeing someone jump 200+ @35 off a 6' ramp then I don't think you appreciate the skill, danger and dedication of the athletes doing it.
  5. Was she okay? That was nasty. One in one out is everyone's nightmare.
  6. I'll second foxriverat, thanks for making the webcast available, wasn't perfect but it was awesome to be able to watch all the skiing.
  7. swc5150, I do remember when they buried it. A couple of clowns. Got your Prostar broken in yet? 130 hours so far on mine. After watching it a couple of times I am pretty sure he was dragging an anchor from the bow port cleat. Assuming he was a competent driver you could see how much he was struggling to keep the boat lined up, anchor hooked on something and bam. They were super lucky that the boat didn't roll.
  8. What the heck happened? Catch a cable? That is insane!
  9. As I understand it Promo boats are going back to Correct Craft and dealers get the option of selling them. Promo Team members actually lease boats from CC.
  10. Manon is having an amazing season, congrats to her!
  11. It was a sad day when he passed. Interesting how someone I never met yet admired from afar for so many years could have the kind of impact on me that he did. It wasn't just the skiing, that speaks for itself, but the underlying love he showed towards people and the sport he led. I remember the skill of course, but more so the modesty he showed while doing it. Again, skiing aside, he just came across as a great guy, somebody you would want as a friend or neighbor. RIP Andy and prayers for your loved ones.
  12. That is a very, very good price. Somebody is going to get a good deal.
  13. Excellent work Tom, this could be a fascinating training model especially if you had multiple data sets from multiple skiers.
  14. I am in the camp that says see if you can find a flat bottom wide ski or something like a Connelly Big Daddy and try with that. A large surface area will make the pull easier and allow you to concentrate on your form. Don't beat yourself up. We all have slumps, this will pass.
  15. Great data capture. I am going to have to give this a try. Agree it would be awesome to see more people do this and compare some data.
  16. So who could watch this video and not want to try this ski? Super analysis of what the ski is designed for and how it works better than previous, other, designs. Crap, I want to try one and I've never considered a Connelly. Well done Joel and Connelly.
  17. Zebra mussels are the scourge of a lake. Part of the problem is the shells are like razor blades. Step on one and you are guaranteed a nasty cut, same with picking things up with your hand. Happened to me more than once and you don't even feel it before you see the blood. MISkier is correct, they will explode in growth, wipe out the lakes ecosystem from the bottom up, they are filter feeders, and within a few years you have a sterile lake and the mussels die. Then when the lake comes back repeat the cycle. Interesting that in Wisconsin some water chemistries are not conducive to ZM growth, one lake will be infested, another will only support limited populations. Waterfowl picking up mussels and milfoil can thwart the best efforts at hull and bilge cleaning.
  18. Congrats to all of the skiers! Well done.

    Check Engine Light

I would avoid gorilla glue, it tends to expand when it sets and could easily come thru the carpet and make a visible mark. We used a commercial outdoor carpet adhesive. The hard part was getting it under the carpet, we ended up putting some strategic razor cuts and then using a turkey baster to inject it in. Make sure you get any excess off before it sets. Change the belt as others have advised and then as Bruce suggests look at all of the hoses to make sure there is no repeat occurrence. Good luck!

    Check Engine Light

Motor oil on carpet can be a disaster. Don't let it sit, carefully use a pressure washer to move the oil into the bilge and out of the carpet. Then extract, extract extract and get as much of the oil out as possible. We had somebody spill oil on the carpet of an 05 196 club boat and it sat for a while before anyone caught it. The motor oil ended up dissolving the glue holding the carpet down and it started bubbling. Huge pain to get it fixed, we ended up having to cut the carpet in multiple places and injecting new glue. I would think a hard reset by disconnecting the battery should do the trick. Good luck.

    ZO is Working!

Wow, big project with some excellent seat of the pants engineering. Props to you!
  22. While the hull is new, the ZeroOff and PCM H6 have been around for a couple of years. I personally have never noticed this with my ZO/H6 so it sounds like a problem unique to an individual boat.
  23. Long term sufferer, L4, L5, S1, and really back on the water for the first time in years. If I can offer a word of advice it would be to pay the most attention to the deepwater starts. Tremendous loads in an awkward position can cause a relapse. Go for slower steady starts and be very conscious of form, if it feels wrong let go. Gutting it out just isn't worth it. Congratulations!
  24. "New Nautique does not have a tower option?" Thank God!
