  1. Yes!!! Got the ok to get one next year already! Is sizing similar to the C85 I wonder?
  2. Ok great! Thanks guys, that really put our minds to rest. Now just for the rest of the I've to melt... 😒
  3. I just bought my wife a new ski this year, while looking at it this morning I noticed stress cracks around the rear inserts for mounting the binding as though they were over torqued while installing. How concerned should I be? Or can we just ignore it?
  4. If you've been late for work because the lake was glass If you've been waterskiing when there is snow on shore.
  5. @bjoerip12 it's a bit away but I'm in Wausau. My brother @ShererSkier is on Minocqua, that's a bit closer maybe. There's a permanent course on lake Wausau if anyone is interested in that info.
  6. Yeah, that sounds like it's the right part. And the right price from the sounds of what Cnewbert said. I regularly ski with my wife and brother so another ski rack will make a big difference for us.
  7. Ok. Thanks for the info. At least I know I can get one.
  8. I bought a 17 ProStar this spring and I am looking to put the same kind of ski rack that sits behind the driver on the opposite side. I believe that the newer ProStars come with this option. Anybody know how I can get another rack? There aren't really any MasterCraft dealers near me, I would have to travel. I'm not even sure if they're available to buy, I haven't been able to find one online anywhere.
  9. Thanks!! @Lars I settled on $70000 with the owner. It was a little above what I had hoped I could get but overall I do t think I was going to find anything better in the price range. And the banks have good rates for 17+ so payments are plenty manageable.
  10. @ALPJr thanks for posting that link! I ended up settling on buying that just last Tuesday! I'm going to pick it up next Friday, I can't wait! This is my first boat and will be upgrading from skiing behind my dad's 1986 Mastercraft prostar! Sooo excited!!!
  11. @Lars just fyi on the 2017 prostar on ski it again. I just bought it. I think the owner is waiting to take it down until after I pick up but not sure. Good luck in your search! It is definitely scarce out there for good deals on newer used boats.
  12. Yeah. I'm definitely leaning towards that one right now. I want open bow too, which that has.
  13. So I'm talking to banks with my wife now and currently looking at 2 to contenders, 17 prostar that @ALPJr sent. Thanks! It's even my color! And a 13 prostar. There's a couple others too, anybody have any experience buying from Canada? There's a nice looking Malibu up there. Are there any issues or concerns to deal with? Customs wise.
  14. At least I already decided to drive as far as I need to for a good boat. I'm currently seeing ones in Texas Connecticut and California that I would want lol. Only one in my home state of Wisconsin. I still have to talk to the bank but I think I just gotta pull the trigger.
  15. Yeah, that's all what I was afraid of. I really don't NEED one right now but I already have permission from my wife and we're talking about kids in about a year or 2 so... I should really just buy one ASAP lol.
  16. So I'm looking into buying a boat in the next year or so. I remember the last time I went on ski it again it seemed like there were pages worth of boats for sale, now there's only 60 boats or so!? Is the used boat market like the used car market right now? I was hoping for $50000-65000 range and a few years old but not sure what's even available right now after just a quick search.
  17. @chris55 I have been skiing at 32 mph on and off at some shorter lengths in the course just to allow a little extra time so I can more easily work on the mechanics of what I need to do at that length. That was my first and only attempt at 35 and just figured what the hell. Lol. I have and do ski at 34 mph and am intending on going back to 34 mph more or less permanently now. I just did not have the time to try that day, we only are able to put our course up on weekends and usually pull it out of the water by 10-11 before it gets too busy with traffic. Thanks all!
  18. Hey guys, just got some video of my current practice PB and it felt pretty good for the most part. Obviously not perfect but I was excited. I have been attempting to implement, as much as I can, what I've read about GUT. I have read and re-read the connection and swing thread and think the way the Adams have explained things in that have helped me a lot! I know I need to work on my gates and I think also get over the front of my ski more heading into the turn. What do you all see? Also, skiing behind a 86 MasterCraft Prostar, so no Zero Off or Perfect Pass. 28' 32' and 35'
  19. I'd be interested in hearing what your ques were for getting and maintaining stack and how you trained yourself in being aggressive with the wake crossing. I have been trying to coach my girlfriend who has just this year started to become interested in skiing more and wants to ski the course with me. She made her first set through the intermediate buoy's just last week and is hooked now, but she definitely needs to work on stack!! Trying to explain the concept has been slow going though. Congrats on your progress! I agree with a lot of what you were describing and absolutely having fun is the most important!
  20. Maybe double check the DFT measurement and the correct way to measure. It can be a little confusing and I have had a few friends measure it wrong and complain about the feel of their ski.
  21. @Luzz Don't laugh, I'm currently using dual Animals lol. I've been thinking about trying the rear Evo hybrid but was struggling with what to pair it with for the front. Or maybe just dual Evo's.
