  1. Ah yes the ultimately devastating safe sport report. Once a skier has one of those its all over. Or is it?
  2. I seriously find it incredibly Ridiculous about Freddy becoming ineligible. From an outside view it seems as though this is almost a targeted response to what I see as a non issue. I don’t think you can Blame an athlete for becoming emotional on a particular terrible judging call, that has rendered your whole life dedication to the sport as such a small thing. Could you imagine if a tennis player who smashes his racket is banned for that event and the whole of next years event, or a race driver slamming his helmet down. Emotion is apart of sport. It’s the reason it is so good, and why we keep coming back. To punish emotion is the beginning of the end. The organisation is acting like our sport is this huge national tv sponsored show, when in reality we are so tiny and insignificant as a sport, that this kind of action just seems down right stupid. I think for Nautique to take this action is an extremely bad move on their part. Banning an athlete that just so happens to not be sponsored by them, but letting a certain other controversy that happened previous with a Nautique athlete go unchecked in terms of a ban from there titles events, comes across as down right targeting. All in all I think that if the effort put into this whole situation was directed towards actually growing and benefiting our sport, then we would be moving forward not backwards. It’s definitely a sad state of affairs and shows us in a very poor light as a whole. Apologies for the rant, I would rather be posting about how amazing it is to see new events popping up with huge viewership, but here we are.
  3. Completely agree with @addkerr the Masters is supposed to be a prestigious event and it’s been so tainted with the judges performance yesterday. The amount of dedication these athletes put into these events and then to be treated in such a horrendous way is despicable, doesn’t matter which athlete it happens to. It shouldn’t happen full stop. If this is the future of the competitive waterskiing world in regards to the standard of the judging then something needs to be seriously reviewed and changed because it’s simply not good enough and quite frankly embarrassing.
  4. Hi Guys, Looking for a new ski this season, does anyone know the main differences between the 2021 Graphite Radar Lyric and the 2022. I know their both based off the Vapor shape, we’re there any main differences between the years? Any advise or help would be appreciated! Many Thanks :)
  5. She’s 5ft 7in and weighs about 78kg, she’s on a 67” now. She said that sometimes it’s difficult to get moving on the omni and that it can be hard to turn.
  6. Hi Guys! Please could i have some input at what ski to recommend to my friend. She's running the course at 23mph at the moment, she's on a 2018 HO Syndicate Omni, now she's at 24.9mph and is struggling. Does anyone think she'd be better on the Radar Union or maybe the Lyric? Has anyone ridden the Union as it says on the website that thats perfect for the speeds she's running currently. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  7. Hi Guys! Just wondering if anyone has any tips or advise to reduce the pain during skiing and after if you’ve got carpel tunnel or arthritis. My doctor is unsure at the moment which one I’ve got in my wrist/hands, due to the COVID-19 pandemic all non urgent stuff has been put on hold. Any recommendations would be great as I’m only 26 and hopefully have many more years on the water! Thank you
  8. Sorry guys! Made a mistake! It's actually the 66.75 size that I'm needing! Apologies :)
  9. Hi Everyone! Does anyone have a Mapple 6.0 for sale? We live in the U.K. But I don't mind getting it shipped over from anywhere world wide, obviously I would cover these costs :) Thanks!!
  10. We have two boats, i ski behind the 2008 Malibu Response, 5.7L. The other boat is the Malibu TXI but I found that too powerful at the moment, I hope to be skiing behind it soon though :)
  11. Thank you everyone for the advice! I'll let you know how my ski goes on the TX tonight!
  12. Thanks everyone for the advice! Much appreciated! Can I just ask for opinions, do you think I should stay on my HO ski for now and gain more balance and nail as many deep water starts as I can. As I do get up now and again and that and there's always the option of dropping a Ski when I can't get up to get skiing as much as I can. Or should I stick with the MC ski and keep trying to get up and get skiing on it? Thanks guys!
  13. Hi Guys! I'm new to Ball of Spray and the skiing world! I started about a year ago from scratch on the bar and then progressed comfortably on two skis and then went on to dropping one and running the half course easily. My deep water starts have always been a real tough one for me, I went to doing them consistently all the time last season but now after the winter months I have come to ski again and just can't get up out of the water on one! I have the green and black radar boot and a toe loop on the rear. I am right foot forward about 5ft 8 and around 77-80kg. I am skiing on a HO Women's TX, it was a good Ski but felt quite numb on the turns sometimes. So as a gift my dad brought me a MC Ski 2017! My first high end ski! But I can't do a deep water start on it so I haven't had chance to try it out yet! So I'm asking for advice on anything I can try and if I should just keep plucking away and maybe one day it will click! Or should I try a double boot binding to stop the ski from sinking instantly? Thank you and any advice will be greatly apprevited
