  1. I'll be at the Seattle Boat Show. Hope to see tournament boats there!
  2. @Wish I am a big Mercedes enthusiast as well. The GL (or GLS as it is now called) diesel sounds like a great option to me. My mom has had a great ownership experience with her 2015 ML350 4Matic since new, but she doesn't tow anything.
  3. My next car will be some kind of Land Cruiser variant. Likely a 2006-2007 Land Cruiser or Lexus LX470 (both being 100 series Land Cruisers) or a later Lexus GX470 (a 120 series LC "Prado"). If you can afford a nice 200 series (2008 to present) Land Cruiser or Lexus LX570, that would be, in my opinion, your best SUV option. Great blend of towing capacity, off road capability, reliability, and luxury features / overall driving experience. Really the perfect SUV. If you're in the same boat as me and cant afford a 200 series, look for a 100 series Land Cruiser or some kind of GX. The earlier GX460s are really getting to be affordable nowadays. The GX is worth the extra money over the 4Runner on which it's mostly based. Interior is miles ahead of the 4Runner. Not even close. If you're willing to put up with extra maintenance, there is absolutely no experience on this earth like driving a Range Rover. They are magical (and good tow vehicles). Denali XL (as they have the bigger engines compared to the Suburbans) and Ford Expedition EcoBoost are great if you really need extra room inside. All that being said though, no normal SUV can beat a modern full size truck for towing. I don't think any SUV will have the wheelbase of a longer truck and most don't have the power (yeah, yeah, Range Rover Sport.. Porsche Cayenne Turbo.. I know).
  4. I have wanted to go there for a long time. Newberry Springs is a magical place.
  5. @jcamp look up "Jackass 3 Bungee Boogie" on YouTube. Language isn't great, but it's kind of what I'm imagining would result from the trick ski + bungee idea haha
  6. Don't think they have on-site accommodations (maybe camping?), but Villa Lagos in Red Bluff offers instruction now from what I understand. Great lake, better people! Never been to Liquid Zone, but I've heard that rocks too. Or - maybe @Horton will give you some pointers if you bring him a nice enough bottle of bourbon..?
  7. IMO, can't beat a standard Wiley's RTP.
  8. As much as I LOVE my Radar products (Vapor Pro, Vapor gloves, etc...), I gotta go with the Eagle vest here. That vest is just so comfortable. Be careful when ordering, though, as they run small.
  9. 11/25/18 on Lake Washington Lots of fun with a couple friends out skiing and foilboarding. No clue what ski I was on (borrowed) or the line length. Air was 48 but unsure of water temp. Far from a ski boat, but my friend's SportStar was already winterized. Honestly not a bad trick wake. Again, super fun day!
  10. Thank you, John! This is the main thing I struggle with..
  11. @markchilcutt cool boat! Skied behind it at Radar
  12. @eleeski is SDSU going to get this new 200 or the funky new angular Ski Nautique? I was under the impression that they were supposed to get a new boat a couple years ago. I honestly don't see how the fancy new micro-tuners (on the new gen hull) could survive years of use in Mission Bay. My buddy even has trouble with his regular hydrogate in MB.
  13. I must admit, if someone wrote me a check for a new boat, I'd run to MasterCraft Seattle to get a ProStar. HOWEVER, I think this new 200 is seriously amazing. Fixes almost of the complaints I had about the SN200 - stupid carpet, dated interior, saddle storage that really just eats up interior space, bad dash screen, etc... The old 200 is my favorite boat to drive (ProStar is my favorite for skiing feel and other things), so the same performance combined with the new interior is awesome! The removable seats are pretty trick too.
