  1. I'm looking forward to it. Not an elite skier and have never strived to be. I've skiers 2-3 tournaments a year for the last 4-5 years. All for fun knowing I cannot be competitive. I actually like 32mph better than 34. I'm light and short therefore feels better. In practice I have been skiing 32 and have only skied 34 at the few tournaments I participated in. With this new rule I will likely ski more. However I will not bump up to 36 !
  2. That's a clean looking boat ! Doubt 15 or 22 will be affected
  3. before shot of the damage, sure its much worse now!
  4. For those of you not in the know, we have quite the last few days in Northern California. It started on Sunday afternoon. I was with my family at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. (Beach town outside of San Francisco Bay Area) My kids had just got on the carousel for the 3rd time when my phone starts blowing up. Friends and family texting to see if we were alright or in need of a place to stay. I had know idea what was going on. I told my wife something is up back home , but no one was being specific on their texts. So I try to get on my phone to see what's happening but my data is at a snails pace and I can only get minor details. I text my neighbor , who replies situation is not good, the Oroville dam is about to fail and they were leaving. By this point we had made our way to a beach side restaurant. Wife was frantic and could not enjoy dinner. I was calm as we were together and out of harms way. My wife and kids were worried about our pets and keepsakes. I was worried our ski lake would be destroyed ! LOL. Luckily nothing happened and it looks like we should be ok even with 7 more days of rain on the way. I think a handful of sites would have been affected. Waterskiing in Nor Cal would have been devastated! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFeGGYYz-80
  5. Is it done charging for the next set ?
  6. There might be some spray starting at 28
  7. @RichardDoane does anyone make an aftermarket tower for the new prostar? one that is basically a copy of the factory? not some cheesy universal
  8. Looks like they came out with a bigger boat
  9. @swc5150 yeah you are ancient. I don't turn 44 till August ! Also hoping new boat this year.
  10. Why is is salty though. I read somewhere that they add salt to it on purpose ? Why
  11. Never responded to me after asking where he was coming from. Definitely scam. Trading it in anyhow.
  12. I have gotten some emails for my boat that's for sale . First email asked if the boat was involved in a serious accident. Which I responded no. Second email asked if I had a HIN report for it. I responded no, but the boat has been on private lake its entire life. Third he asked me to get a report from hindetector.com, and that he would repay me for it if he buys. He also said he would like to come over and see the boat tomorrow if the report was clean. I'm fairly certain this guy is just trying to bait me into paying for this service. He has not asked any serious questions that a skier or real buyer would ask. I'll keep corresponding with him to see where this goes. I responded to the last email where he was coming from to see if he even knows what region I'm in. the website seems legit, but no initial pricing without entering your HIN.
  13. I'll sell you an 66 HO Vtype cheap. Only a few sets
  14. You can find them for just over 10k.
  15. other option could be an MB Sports , really well built , all fiberglass and pretty good rough water ride.
  16. Im hoping to get a new prostar in March. I was just going to launch , map the course and ski. Should I not do that ?
  17. If you liked the 1994 prostar 205 , try to find one of those
  18. 35 minutes to Santa Cruz, now that's funny right there!
  19. Wish I could swing it again. Great time in ACAPULCO !
  20. I would skip the ski boat and rent a larger boat. Tahoe is an amazing lake but not for watersports. It's really cold too. I often take my ski boat but leave the skiis at home. I only have the one boat so have no choice. But if I had a choice I would rather be on a cobalt !! 4 of July will be a zoo have fun !!
  21. my suburban had approx189,000 miles and read approx 5600 hours when I sold it.
  22. $1800 or so is about going rate in CA. Not including enclosed storage.
  23. @GregHind , seriously 100 ft plenty wide? The lake I posted is a only narrow for a small section. But what about a site that is 100ft wide the entire length? that gives roughly 12ft from shore!! that's a bit scary . You would want a steep shore angle at the very least.
