2 years ago i would have selected choice #1. Im not aware of any public sites with a course in the Sacramento Ca area. I am lucky to live on a lake now with a view of the 55s from my kitchen window.

Your forgetting one thing !! Tournaments are fricken boring. A complete snore. My wife hates going to the few I participate in. Try to get a newby involved dont take them to a tournament. They will fall asleep of boredom and never want to ski.

I did not know kneeboarding was a competitive sport still. Just recieved my issue of waterskier with some dude who won slalom and tricks. I get tricks but slalom? Do they run the same course?

Mine was to ski New Years Day. It was a bit chilly for my standards but doable. Next set will likely be in March.

I train that way year round. May be why I can get past 28.

I had a cheap one I bought at the state fair. First flight crashed into neighbors roof and got stuck for a bit. Second flight it went over the lake and shot one cool video. But then it got away from me and flew out of range into the orchards on the other side of the lake. Never saw that drone again! My go pro had a similar story. First time using it attached it to my ski. Fourth pass it goes in the drink. Never to be seen again. I should probably stay clear of electronics and waterskiing !

I'm not to involved in the tournament scene , but in N. California it seems pretty big. I can only assume there was a shortage last season as my boat was used at a handful of tournaments. I think around 6 and used for portion of junior developent. Hours don't really bother me and I was happy to help. I wonder of this may be the future. Personal boats used. Maybe usawterski will have to set up a website. Boat owners willing to let their personal boat to be used get posted . Organizers can contact them to use the boat.

Can't say if its the best but I have to admit we have it pretty good. Live on a ski lake , few homeowners with plenty of water time. 8 months of no wetsuit skiing. 20 minutes to major city. 10 minutes to suburb. Large lot , big house. Snow 1 hour away , beach 2 hours. Can't complain

Sacramento CA probably the best bet for that. Can get to a lot of ski resorts in under 2 hour drive. Waterskiing could be done year round. Myself not a fan of the cold so I don't snow ski or waterski much in the winter. Probably throw in surfing in the day too.

I may be out of the loop. Other than the bootleg liquor scandal, what is dicey about Cancun ?
