Looks like Im going to get a chance to check out Dallas and see if I really want to get out of California. I need to go out for a short term by January 15. Anyone have a room for rent, house for rent or maybe for sale ? Otherwise since short notice, any recommendations where to find housing? Since it’s such short notice and I have to find something rather quickly I don’t want to end up living in the ghetto! Lol I’ve never been to Dallas so I don’t know the area at all or much time to get to know it. Like to be close to the airport.Maybe any ski club recommendations as well although I’m not sure if I really need it yet as I’m probably coming back home quite a bit.

Any other ballers go thru it? I tested positive. I was so tired and winded that it did cross my mind my ski days were over. Im for the most part over it now, doubt any long lasting effects. So many people ask what it was like , so I will share with you. My experience so not typical I’m sure. Imagine the worst possible hangover that last 10 days and add a shitty cold that last 14 days.

I’m lucky I guess in the cost to fulfill my waterskiing. I have to pay a mortgage and an HOA regardless of where I live. So my cost is just the boat and gas. Living on the lake I don’t spend a lot on gas as my ski buddies typically bring enough gas to cover our use. I would say I spend less than $300 a season . Boat payment and insurance a year equals to 4 weekends of snow skiing. The cost of entry vary obviously. I would love to see skiing on TV. I fell in love with it when I lived on the foster city lagoon and watching the shows at marine world. If we want skiing to be mainstream, it needs to be a show not a tournament. It’s needs to be a business. , but I doubt that is what the skiers want.

I’m not sure about snow skiing being cheaper than waterskiing . A weekend up in Tahoe for a family of 4 is about $2000 . Not worth it to me.

Any recommendations on a solar panel to maintain battery for my lift? I have a cheap harbor freight panel that can’t keep up. Battery is shot now. What are you guys using ? I don’t have power at my dock. I don’t have much to mount to. Pic for attention.

We are a victim of our own demise. What should be a fun activity has turned to a sport that is way to technical and geared to the elite only. Average joe can’t afford it , and why would they care to get involved. Every aspect from ski boats to ski design is so overly engineered. It’s supposed to be about fun. It’s turned into work. Many love it. But your not get the masses to hop onboard.

My boat Spends a lot of time uncovered during the day. So if it was a boat that would just get skied and put away it wouldn’t be a problem.

@BugHunter well if you told them that story , no luck on warranty. Mine just fell off under normal use. The adhesive they used doesn’t hold up to heat well. I’ve had to glue a few letters back as they became loose. But the C was a total loss and my M bent but hung on.

I hate wiping down around those letters. Many a jammed finger !

I was told they are covered under warranty. I have a missing e and bent M. Not sure if my dealer still has my set or not as I didn’t take the boat down. My letters are red.

Anyone use Tung oil on teal deck with good results. Also what’s a good easy to work with compound to remove light scratches.
