  1. So good! The guys do a fantastic job working through how skiing works starting with the fundamental principles skiers need to understand. I always thought a relationship with a boat was keeping it clean :p Thanks @Chris Rossi for the help when I reached out.
  2. Always enjoy skiing with Stephen or having him around the water at the lake. Down to earth and super chill. Makes it look so easy.
  3. I want to say my friend had that boat but closed bow which could make a difference. That said, it skied well for us @ 15 -32 off. I had a Moomba 2012 at the time and the wake on the 206 was softer for sure which was nice.
  4. @skihart join the site and get a video lesson. It is a no brainer. Warning!! Once you do it you really need to communicate with the people you ski with about what you are doing to avoid coaching or boat speeds/line lengths that are not in alignment with what you are working on. I battle this with the people I ski with and other coach types that pull me...some disagree with what I am doing (staying at slower speeds or longer lines) but they do not disagree with my progress!
  5. To focus on my coach's ( @twhisper ) training tips, video more, and to be more assertive with my boat driver and/or "coaches" as to what I want to achieve and do each set.
  6. Novice question: do you duct tape your fingers individually, is that what you are speaking to @Shell ?
  7. The nautique's wake is softer than the Outback for sure. A friend had a 2004 and I preferred the wake and driving vs the Outback. I would go that route if I was in the same place of looking at those types of boats again.
  8. I had a 2012 outback up to last year. I agree with what @wtrskier197 says. Great family boat, little higher off water in the bow for less advanced drivers (waves). I shaved the rudder on mine and could have likely taken more off but it made a difference for sure. I'd say that is a must if you are skiing the course. We found the wake skied as good as my friends Malibu response lxi 07.
  9. @markn Thank you for the information/input. I think I need to experiment with the different letters more...after digesting the PDF and your explanation of where one may like the pull, I think that A could be a possibility since I am working getting into a strong position during the turn and having a bit of time before the pull may help.
  10. 2 questions: 1 - at what level of skiing should you consider playing with ZO? 2 - what is the best way to go about trying the settings? i.e. a2, b2, c2 then +, or a1, a2, a3 and so on. I would think that you would settle on a letter first and then adjust numbers and + settings? I am only 2 years in the course and skiing b2, running 15 off @ 34mph 50% of the time so this topic could be ahead of my ability.
  11. Had ACL reconstruct and Meniscus "fix" December 7. Feeling really good considering. Need to figure out my skiers elbow for next season too...that one is a pain in the $%&*. Time for a focused PT over the next 5 months.
  12. TW's website is great and he has a ton of video uploaded. The way he zooms in, stops & starts the skier, and compares his skiing or others (lot's of Nate on there), is awesome.
  13. I am waiting because of our system up here. Do I spend 15k-20k to go private now or wait the 11 months for public funding. That's a whole other issue up here...our system needs adjustment to support both the public and private sides. @thager my ACL was torn in 2015 so it's almost disappeared as of my last MRI and the surgeon has no concern about that. The good news is I can ski in the meantime, in fact skiing seems to have the least amount of impact on my knee compared to any of the other physical activities that I do.
  14. @mmosley899 I am on a wait list and have planned to schedule the surgery for next fall (late Sept). I know I have to do the meniscus and ACL, as you stated without the ACL the meniscus will continue to tear. I am going to brace up while skiing this year and focus on ACL strength to try and limit the movement and chance of tweaking the meniscus again. Maybe I get in in the next month on the wait list...This site continues to amaze me in regards to the amount of information and experience one can glean!
  15. Yes, @gregy I've considered it and I can get it done privately here as well. I would like to avoid the price tag. @MrJones I appreciate the feedback.
