  1. WOW, he makes it look easy, it is amazing the strength to recover the stance going into the wakes
  2. Hi Ballers, So after the firs fall in which my Power shell 2.0 released (worked great, no sore ankle) I noticed that the plastic around the toe bar has cracked on both sides. It is a 3d printed part and does not seem to be made to withstand any stress, Is it really needed? Anybody with similar experiences? Thanks
  3. My daughter learned to ski on exactly the same model and did never feel very comfortable, I bought her an HO TX and she improved a lot and felt very confident but she is yet to try the course. Maybe a Senate or an Omni would be a great choice for you if you r main interest is learning the course. There are people of many different levels and most of them enjoy teaching others in our sport, do not let their ability intimidate you! If they do not want to help you might need to find another group...
  4. When I returned to slalom a few years ago I was having exactly the same problem, the worst was when I could not get up in a lake with "soapy" water. I started using Masterline Prolock gloves and it made a night and day difference! Another key point as discussed already is your body position and of course the driver plays a major part, to people used to only towing wakeboarders the amount of throtle required for slalom can seem scary, the way I do it is to instruct them is to put the boat in gear and once the hear "hit it!" to progresively but swiftly give full power (not really required with a modern ski boat, but you get the idea).
  5. I learned with a kicker with both feet in the ski, know I am using a Reflex r-type so I have to start with both feet in. I have never tried to start dragging a leg but this thread is making me curious enough to try it and see what it is all about
  6. I went the other way and fitted a Vector feather and and a vector feather artp on a HO TX, as stated above the front boot lined perfectly but the rear was a different story, the spacing between the front and rear holes is different, in order to fit the RTP I milled the holes, which being plastic was very easy to do. I does look quite bad but once it is covered by the metal plate you can not notice, you retain the full adjustability and it works perfectly.
  7. I do most of the time, many years ago I did put my etsuit on with a scorpion inside, it was a scary moment...

  9. @6balls That is precisely my point, is there any difference besides the price, and the liner which sells saparately

  11. I do understand from previous posts that HO and EDGE are two completely separate entities and that there has been some sort of colaboration to produce this binding using a propietary design from Airkide (Release mechanism). The question is: If I am in the market for one of these boots and want to decide which way to go is there actually any difference worth noting between the edge boot and the syndycate hardshell? All the pictures I have seen they seem too similar, I have not been able to spot a single difference but the Company logo. Anybody who has actually seen both can comment?

  13. Sadly I believe that Bottas was hired on support role for Hamilton as Toto Wolf was clearly avoiding a repeat of the last seasons by not hiring Pascal. I know this is completely off topic but I am one of the few that actually follow F1 and attend races now and then. The last one being Austin, what a great venue!
  14. I have both a regular TX and a SL CX. I am 51 and I have been skiing for many years but are just staring to run the course. I prefer the CX over the TX because it feels more responsive, goes thru the wakes much better and has less of a tendency to lift the tip (bad technique on my part). ]I do not feel much difference as far as how easy it is to deep water start or the drag they produce.
  15. As already mentioned numerous times changing the oil every 50 hours and keeping good care of the engine is more important than the actual number of hours, en engine that has run for 200 hours neglecting an oil change can be in worse shape than one with 1,000 and regular maintenance. Back to topic, I believe that you can take in account the rpm´s that we operate our ski boats at and see the equivalent in a truck in Mph and come up with a factor that will give an idea. To me that factor is about 5,000 miles per 100 hrs taking into consideration the time our boats spend at idle or very low rpms.
