  1. The direct drive looked a lot like a Century Resorter; does anyone know what model/ make that direct drive is?
  2. Thanks to those that commented. I talked with Horton before I got my CP. I believe his comment was similar then to the affect the 5.7 was all I needed but the 6.0 was really fun. So I went for fun; glad I did.
  3. Have 6.0 PMC in Carbon Pro. Almost 700 hours. Never an issue. Just change fluids and impellers.
  4. Agree with Hman 66. No experience with 98. Might be good. In 95 LaPoint was good May be that hull.
  5. Not squirrelly pretty solid for fun in rougher water wake jumping. My brother had one. Was enjoyed.
  6. The 98 Centurion Elite will not be wood. Nice boat. A Mercruiser I believe. Reliable in my experience with parts readily available.
  7. Eclips slalom version has an excellent small and soft wake. Flat bottom in rear. They made sone Eclipse boats as more of a cross over that had more of a V I believe. So get the first type. Falcons also have wakes. Have owned both Falcon and Eclipse. Very popular in my experience for wives and kids due to the wakes.
  8. I agree her handles are worth a wait. Have not ordered fir a long time, but service has always been good.
  9. I have seen a recoiling rope go through a mirror. Went through reflective part and into the black frame. Lots of force there.
  10. I expect you will love the upgrade.
  11. I get a picture that is part of back of boat. Can’t play a video.
  12. 91 to 94 MC. Only 94 has Throttle body efi. Prior boats are carbureted. 95 to 97 MC has less spray a bit more room. Wake a bit more challenging but good. Centurion LaPoint boats from that era around 94 can be excellent but harder to find. Owned at least one of all three described.
  13. Can someone post results?
  14. Aldo first learned in 1957. First on doubles behind a Chris Craft. Grandfathers boat. Then got a single chance to try a single behind a visiting families light 35 HP outboard. Told I got one try by the friends Dad who was in charge. So I took my only attempt and luckily made it first try. The Dad was amazed and said he would Jeep taking he that day. Still enjoying the I’ve ski experience today.
  15. Solid 65 years for me. Body is fine. The sport is great for strength training which is itself very good for we older skiers. Age 77 in July.
  16. Personally if I had this issue I would get a LaPoint LP 1. Built for your weight speed binding set up etc and ski is wide where you need it underfoot. Wonderful personalized custom skis that work. Wide Rides would work for me. Likely also a wider HO like Omni. Not a fan of the Senate.
  17. Your top speed is high enough for doubles. AWSA instructors used to recommend 18 for learning doubles.
  18. At age 77 next month I can tell you that age is not the issue. Potentially multiple issues. What happens when you try? Can you hang on? Does boat just stall? More info the better for a solution. Have you tried a sitting dock start?
  19. She looks wonderful. Youthful athletes watch and naturally copy. Do well without instruction that way. My personal experience is with Nordic. Our youth are copying elite skiers; Olympic, and National Champions. We developed your who are now those winners that are being copied. She looks good and is I would think naturally copying dad. If so it is a complement to Horton. So enjoy Dad.
  20. My Hovercraft came with bindings. Ski works a very slow speeds.
  21. Thanks. Pulled dipstick and oil looked fine to me.
