  1. I have an old 64” CDX. It’s blank. PM me.
  2. @MISkier he use to ski on the Grand River at the same site the MSU waterski team uses. Not sure if he still skis there as it has been a few years since I skied with him last. Check out the Lansing Boat club, thats where he kept his boat and where the MSU team is based out of.
  3. There is a ski course on the West arm of Walloon lake which is only 20 min from Petoskey. The course is almost directly in front of camp Michigania. There is a guy who skis that course regularly named Bob Betman. I don't know have his contact info anymore but he is a DDS out of Lansing. He is a die hard skier who is always looking for another ski buddy. I guarantee that if you called his office and left a message with why you called he'll call you back. Good Luck!
  4. @dbski where is this gravel pit you speak of and are you open to having a 5th person join your club?
  5. I found my current boat on Craigslist. 525 miles away. It is an '01 Malibu Sunsetter Lxi. I talked to the guy several times in depth. He took several videos of the boat and sent them to me. Then I had a local crew member from themalibucrew.com swing by and check it out for me. Lastly I did a road trip with 2 buddies to go get her. We hit a few lakes and campgrounds on the way home. It was a neat experience.
  6. @Blueski I know your question was meant to be funny but I had to give that scenario serious consideration. I ski on Ford lake in SE MI which used to be Henry Fords dumping grounds. It's since been cleaned up and is a really nice lake. I wear the same sunscreen as everyone else, and this issue has only been with my new life vests in the last 3 years. All of my old gear, including wetsuits are holding up just fine. @OldboyII that suggestion made me laugh as I am bald. It might be an issue for others though. I noticed a common thread between all of the vests mention by others that are holding up well. None of them have the smooth rubber-like skin that has been the issue with my last 3 vests. So I went out today and bought a Radar Vapor vest. I hope this one holds up for a while.
  7. Alright I'm getting pretty feed up with my life vests disintegrating after only 1 year of use (see pics below). I only ski 5 months out of the year, 3-4 days a week in season, and my vest is always stored hanging up and out of the sun. My last 3 vests conveniently have fallen apart 2 weeks past the 1 year warranty. My most recent vest was a Connelly, the 2 before that were O'Neill. The rubber like material around the neck just molts and makes a mess out of my shoulders and the upholstery of my boat. So is it just me or is this the way of manufacturers making us by new $150 vest every year? I still have vest from 20 years ago that are in better shape than the last 3 high end vests I have bought. How long should I expect a vest to last? What brand is good these days? (I won't buy another O'Neill after the way their customer service treated me)
  8. Got an answer from a friendly board member who directed me to the Carolina Watersports store located on site at Trophy Lakes, SC. They have a remake version of this glove made by Radar.
  9. Woohooo! @lakeFlumi you are a life saver. Thank you, Thank you! I ordered their last pair of Mediums today but they are getting another shipment soon. FYI for anyone else looking for these gloves only Carolina Watersports store located at Trophy Lakes has these. I had previously called the other locations and they had no idea what I was talking about.
  10. I'm going to breathe some life into this topic. My last pair of HO Talon gloves has finally disintegrated. I'm frustrated. I have searched the web for hours these last few days and can only find size small HO Talon gloves out there (I need medium) I bought a pair of Masterline curves to try and and they sucked! For those of you who use to like these glove have you found a suitable replacement? I've read on this forum about other clincher gloves that worked well but seem to have already been discontinued. Has anyone ever taken their old HO Talon gloves to an upholstery shop to try to duplicate? I'm thinking about buying a new pair of plain Kevlar Palm gloves and having an upholstery guy take the clincher system off my old Talons and putting it on the new gloves. Any thoughts? Help please.
