  1. Used it yesterday, worked perfect! Love that the videos go directly into Apple photos unlike Wakeye. Will use again here in a little bit!
  2. Coffee in bed from @RAWSki, load up the golf cart, stretch at the dock, drop the boat and BAM, already 7 great sets under my vest! It’s going to be a great season!
  3. @Laz there is hope, same thing happened to me flying Delta some years back, made a complaint AT the airport (always check your stuff immediately AT the airport) supplied photos and an invoice for the ski, filled out all paperwork and they reimbursed me for the ski. Not sure if you used a sport tube, but after my mishap, I bought 2 sport tubes! Never had an issue since. Good luck!
  4. Typical day in the life of Shell, if only I could get @RAWSki to comply more often🤣🤣
  5. @m_pags thank you for the great pull today! Super great sight, great water and hospitality! Definitely will be back for more swerving! Perfect day!
  6. @mike_mapple I hear ya on feeling naked and totally agree, but not naked without my Apple Watch, morso my 7 other watches that are much more classy than an Apple Watch. I did try my Apple Watch one time playing hockey and it just didn’t feel right.
  7. Is it really that important to track your every move? I have an Apple Watch and like it a lot but can I live without it? Yes! I once knew someone who would flip out if they forgot their tracking device, what difference is it really going to make? You know if your active or not and what you have or have not burned so to say. I could comment more , but I’ll keep it clean for @Horton. Not knocking anyone who loves to keep track , just not that important to me.
  8. @Horton yes! I would agree with you……for the most part, but there isn’t a day that goes by that my grandson doesn’t want to ski, I don’t have to ask him or force him, it’s exactly the opposite, he is calling me wanting me to pick him and asking us to not ski without him, lol. The point I’m getting across is “some” kids don’t always need other kids to be pushed on a daily basis. I DO believe when you get to a tournament and all the kids are playing soccer and football and then they take time out to ski and cheer each other on when on the water, that they do become more competitive. It’s actually really cool seeing all the kids cheering each other on and telling each other that they did a good job!
  9. @chrislandy I see your point for kids having a friendship group at their club, but that doesn’t alway mean that kids will be at the site when you’re at the site? If a kid is eager? Hungry? And a true buoy chaser like my 7yr old grandson, they will want to go to the lake no matter what. I have experienced kids at the lake that want to kneeboard or tube and just don’t have the drive to slalom or trick, the parent will negotiate to let them tube if they slalom first. Point is: it has to be in the child’s blood and personal drive, also depends on the age of the child. I can happily say that my grandson would much rather ski the slalom course and trick before he ever asks to kneeboard or tube. We have more fun double slaloming and double trick skiing more than anything else. It all just comes down to the individual kid.
  10. @101driver it’s been a long time for me since I am over the age of 55, but, I am seeing some things I “dislike” at tournaments with my grandson. In todays world, there is always going to be two separate friends circles, and in this world there will always be “bullies” in each circle, with the “outside ski world” with more I would assume? The ski world circle is a “special” sincere? Mature? Group of kids, but don’t let that fool us parents/grandparents, I have seen and had to handle bullying of kids and disrespect bluntly to my face as well as other kids. Point of my comment is, talk and raise your kids/ grandchildren with the respect we should give and the respect others should get, I try and explain as much as possible to my grandson, and in a position where bullying is going on, I will explain what is right and what is wrong and to just stay clear of “certain” kids in the event that it occurs. Not everyone is nice and never will be.
  11. @Horton I agree fully! The Jr Development camps are great, and the kids get to know each other. My grandson is “hungry” everyday for the course and to improve and get a PB, HELL, he told his mom if she should die that he wants to live with me and @RAWSki🤣🤣 which he basically does in the summer to keep him on the water. But back to the kids, he absolutely loves going to tournaments knowing he will play football, soccer and eat pizza with his fellow waterski friends he has made since he started skiing! They ARE our future and we are building memories to never be forgotten❤️
  12. @escmanaze I do know there are some , maybe Cobel that you can send him all day and pick him up in the evening, then drop him back off the next day , so basically, he would do everything except “sleep” there. Also, I would get rid of “long line” to much rope, he needs to be skiing at -15 off, my 7yr old grandson never skied long line, way to much rope in my opinion. FWIW
  13. I’m trying to find a camp for my 7yr old grandson for slalom and trick. He runs in 24.9 mph in the course and has about 3-4 tricks on his trick ski. I feel he would progress more with a “camp” with lots of other kids rather than just taking him to a school for a week with us. I’m looking into Cobel ski school, anything else out there I’m not aware of?
  14. My parents are in N Ft Myers, love this! See ya soon!
